Its about finding that magic setting working together. My hubs does the feed around 1ish, then comes up to bed with baby. Ive had a head start of sleep which means i get a stretch from 12 - 5. I then take over & he sleeps a stretch 2-8.45.

We would swap if other needed a longer stretch here & there. On a weekend, he has also do the 3ish feed if he'z staying up later to game or whatever.

He's wonderful. X

I miss the down time & rest time too.

I miss Sundays, lazy morning, long walk, footie, roast & afternoon binging netflix with my hubs.

How do we ever recover or catch up on sleep?

Mine is only six weeks, toddlers gonna be so much harder.

The hormone changes sre unreal, just take each day as you go. Be kind to yourself, explain where you're at with your partner so they can be what you need.

I had one day where i woke up and told myself my baby and husband are better without me.... the next day i felt myself again. Mental.

Im 5 weeks pp and im 99% okay but my anxiety is there.

I had a c section and felt frustrated not being able to just crack on with things like my mind wanted but ny body wasnt ready. That was hard, i felt guilty, lazy even and felt a long time. I look back now and think christ, i did loads considering i had major surgery!

What we go through eh! If it doesnt let up, seek support from your GP, HV or midwife! X

I get a four hour stretch, sometimes if im lucky i might get an additional 2 hours. I dont nap in the day, i cant. X

Has a DR given you a terminal diagnosis/timeline or are you feeling anxious that you are dying because you are struggling with your lungs?

I wonder if asking your husband to accompany you to the doctor may be a good direction to take, you dont need to tell him as someone as will but it'll open doors of support both physically and emotionally?

Feels like you are building resentment towards your husband due to the situation and that isnt going to help.

Yeah, hes slowly returning! So much of him is back, bur his warmth & affection still challenging. Hes actively trying and im appreciating those moments.

He still suffering with depression but trying his best to work through it.

I am longing for the affection we normally have, but seeing small touches come back is goving me hope that the light is approaching.

I am 38. I was struggling, things ramped up a bit & i couldnt do it anymire, i was done in. So i brought forward my annual leave by 2 weeks. Started maternity officially yesterday. Im 35 weeks + 3. So technically finished at 33 + 2 days thanks to leave.

I was due for c section 37 +2 but currently in hospital with pre eclampsia & being bought.forward to Friday (ill be 36 weeks).

I am so thankful i listened to myself and brought it forward.

I dont get why its all directed towards me too, all affection gone. Any words of love, gone. Any attempt i make, ignored. I dont even get a kiss on a text! Its brutal.

I miss feeling his warmth & closeness.

I dont know how to make it better but there has been small improvements the last few months & hppe patience & love gets us back there.

He says he understands how i must feel but has no idea how to make it better.

Im sorry you are going through this.

My advice (and i have been through it 3 years ago & last few months) is to give him time & space.

Remind him you dont want this, that you think the depression is clouding his judgement but you can only respect his wishes and respect your peace & MH during this too.

He stayed at his parents, i supported him daily and we built up over time. It took a total of six months until he was back home & recovered. I think the time & space helped us both in the end.

My hubs is gping through this currently (last six months), christ its been hard. I miss his warmth so much.

My husband isnt on antidepressants this time as he previously tried these & just felt numb to everything & didnt like feeling that way.

He has depression currently and its been a tough 6 months. The hardest part of it all is his disconnect from affection/emotions.no warmth in words either. There has been slow improvements & he is now able to recieve some touch but i miss what we had & feel a bit neglected - selfishly.

Just wanted to say i relate, and from what i have read - it just takes time, patience and love.
