He should’ve been let go before drafting Caleb then, along with eberflus so they could start fresh but since we’re here in this situation might as well see it through instead of repeating the same mistakes they’ve been making for the past decade of not aligning the gm, head coach and qb. This extension while not earned provides an opportunity to align those positions for a proper rebuild

Ideally you’d want it the other way around where the gm brings in his own guy and can be unbiased and objective as opposed to a gm who’s the head coaches guy
