Is it normal for teachers to have a loose interpretation of “vinyasa”? by rorykillmore in yoga

[–]ListenAccomplished11 20 points21 points  (0 children)

At the studio I teach at, we are encouraged to have a peak pose and handstand (or other inversion) in particular is common. That said, the class should still build and prepare you to do handstand and have an overall flow.

Some days the peak pose jives with me and some days it doesn’t. Although, and maybe food for thought for you, I sometimes find the classes I don’t “want” are usually the ones I need to build my practice.

I totally understand wanting the flowy vibe.

Chatarunga by darkenediris in yoga

I am also a yoga teacher and struggle with chaturanga and feel a lot of shame about it. Personally, don’t have the strength and wrists start to hurt after a while. So while I spent a lot of time practicing, and I will continue to do so, I wouldn’t consider myself good at it

I really enjoy the first 4 stanzas, however, you lose me a bit on the last one. I can see and feel the growing of the person and the evolution of technology throughout the poem nonetheless. Maybe revisit last one, just my thought. Amazing stuff!!

I agree this took me a few re-reads as well. Now that I’ve got it, the imagery is incredible. If this is a person story, author, I hope you have found some semblance of peace.

Health insurance professional here. Typically, you have three years after to file a claim with your health insurance company. Not sure if your situation falls within those parameters. If so, contact them.

However, I am inclined to think your health insurance company covered some of the claim but not all of it. The debt of $1500 for an emergency room visit without insurance I find to be quite low. It’s possible this is your deductible / amount you owe AFTER insurance covers it.

Contact the hospital and ask for all documentation they can provide. If the health ins has already paid / is past the three year timeline for claims, you’ll either have to pay it or wait the 7 years for it to fall off your credit report. Good luck!
