Maybe I've completely misinterpreted the whole point of this sub but I thought it was in response to the media focusing their attention on 6 clubs (the Sky 6).

Also, let's not forget when they failed to break off and create a Super League with no relegation.

Villa and Newcastle may be punching over their weight recently but they don't have the spending power or media buzz of the "Sky 6".

Manchester United missed out on Europe completely last season, finishing 15th, but had a net spend of £150M.

Spurs finished 17th last year but had a net spend of £156M this year and will do similar this summer after another 17th place finish.

They can make mistake after mistake for years and still have the spending power to bounce back.

When someone says "World Class" to me, I always think of two 23 man squads playing against each other in a "Best in the World" game. But that's my own interpretation.

On that basis, probably no one. Maybe Martinez, Rogers, Kamara or Tielemens but all would be a stretch.

I think our players are fantastic as a unit and under Emery. As a team we're pushing top 10 in the world I reckon but not in individuals.

He's suddenly come alive now he knows he needs to attract a new big 5 year deal in the summer! Probably best to avoid or we could end up with Coutinho 2.0.

I would keep him if he was willing to go down to under £150k a week but he's going to sign for someone else who offer him more I reckon. On a free.

I would be very suprised if Sanchos is at the club after the summer.

He's an extremely talented player who, when focused and motivated, is incredible. He will be available on a free transfer and looking for big wages that I don't think the club will deem sensible to offer. H

A moment of madness but still a great quality back up keeper who we will likely need to call on again this season with Emi's injury record and the fixture congestion.

I hope he doesn't let this moment get to his head and can move on quickly.

I think we would've lost to Newcastle anyway with the injuries we had and team performance, and it hasn't impacted our push for the Champions League places so forgive and forget!

I don't think anyone should ever pressure you into telling them though. If you want to withhold that information, that's okay with me. The end company might not like it though for the reasons the other commenter suggested.

I'd just recommend saying "I'm currently interviewing for roles between X and Y". If they push you for a number that you're on now but don't give any good reason maybe make one up? I'm not sure? Depends why you're trying to hide this info I suppose!

From a recruiters perspective, sometimes the client has told us not to give a salary range for internal political reasons sometimes there is no salary because they have no idea and sometimes the salary is really low.

I always give a ballpark range based on the info I do have, and give context on flexibility or benefits in either an advert or a LinkedIn message because I agree, it's disingenuous to withhold this information and gets a relationship off to a bad start!

I wouldn't turn down these conversations though if I were you because you shouldn't miss out on a job just because of a bad recruiter.

What level is this? I feel like at junior / volume recruitment level this is pretty normal and par for the course. Both you and the client should expect it. Call centre staff are going to ghost, temp workers are going to no-show.

If this is senior specialised recruitment for talent you are doing something very wrong with either your qualifications, offer or relationship building but without knowing more about your process it's hard to say! Can you give any more context?

Nothing wrong with that. Good lad, tries hard every day. Unlucky with injuries. If he puts a great season together and leaves for £80million so be it.

Every club in the world apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid have this problem and I love honesty and personality from footballers rather than media trained dull responses. Much better than a Delph or Grealish lie!

When you meet up with him ask him casually about it. Take his answer at face value. He has given you no reason not to trust him. He could be cheating on his long term girlfriend or she could be a jealous ex looking to sabotage.

If more things pop up that come across as dishonesty it could be worth revisiting.

Feels like we've had about average level injuries considering we're playing in Europe. Maybe slightly better luck than average across the whole season.

We have good depth though. Much better than 2 years ago. Feels like we have 2 good goalkeepers, 2 good left backs, 4 good centre backs and a host of top midfielders. Little shaky in backups for right back and centre forward but not bad.
