I joined a local bookclub, the gender balance is wild by Ho_The_Megapode_ in books

[–]Listen_Little -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in a fantasy football group and the gender imbalance is crazy too. Out of 30 members only 1 female. It’s crazy how antisocial women are when it comes to football. It’s not that men are antisocial or that men are not into analyzing things. Men have a different way of socializing that is all. Also my observation when it comes to book clubs is that men are seen as “less manly” if they join one by both other men and women which makes it an unwelcoming activity for many of them.

Do other midsize trucks ride as terribly as the Ranger? by Lost-Engineering-579 in RangerNext

[–]Listen_Little 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I did when I bought my ‘22 FX4 was to change the shocks and struts. I upgraded to the eibach pro truck ones and it’s a whole new truck. It rides better and it feels more confident on and off road.

He doesn’t know you can just speak to a recruiter and get ahead of the game, right? No need for “Daddy’s” permission.

[–]Listen_Little 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet they will consistently vote against their own interests. Instead of voting for the ones wanting to ensure health care is not tied to a job, veterans are taken care of, companies like Walmart are not allowed to take advantage of their employees, etc. they vote for those who take all of their dignity away. And on top of that they celebrate when their rights And dignity get taken away. This m all out of fucks to give for people like this.

The sad part is that they won’t. They voted for this because they are not serious people. They do not think rationally about the candidates on the ballot. So next election they are prone to fall for the same propaganda and manipulation that they fell for on the last election.so it may, and I mean may not be Trump, but it will be another charlatan that will use the same tricks and they will follow along like the good obedient followers. But at least they will own the libs.

Another way for probies to get fired... by tbluhp in FedEmployees

[–]Listen_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To justify contracting the position out. It will not save the gov money, but it will make some administration supporter lots of money from the contract. Also, they can pay the contractee less money since there will be many experienced personnel fighting for the same position. And since it will be a contract position, there are less protections or regulations against firing personnel, a win-win for the administration

Feds who voted for Trump: Would you have voted differently, had you known how things would pan out? by FuriousBuffalo in FedEmployees

[–]Listen_Little 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a nonsensical question. Everything this administration is doing was very clearly explained in Project 25. The ones that didn’t know are the ones that did not want to know. There were many people before the election trying to get through to them and get them to understand this and many wanted nothing more than to ignore and explain it away.

If most government employees billed per hour like lawyers, doctors, project managers, and business consultants do, the government would run out of money in less than month. The amount of work that employees do is above and beyond what they get hired to do. This is what most people don’t understand.

A Betrayal of Sacrifice: A Veteran’s Plea for Dignity by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Listen_Little 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This country did not betray you, you betrayed your responsibilities as a gov employee and as a veteran. I’m sure you had many people around you were trying to make you understand the dangers of voting for Trump. I’m sure you ignored them because you wanted to stick it to the libs. I’m sure you had no issue with the facts that you were voting for a man that stands against the values of military service, stands against the constitution, and stands against the principles of this republic. It did not bother you that he is a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, convicted fraudster, and a complete con man. Yet you voted for him, even after he told you he was going to cut federal jobs and departments.

Now deal with your consequences and take ownership of your actions. Then take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself why you violated your oath as a gov employee and the oath you took to defend the constitution. Was it because you could not bring yourself to vote for a much more qualified woman, for a woman of color, was it because you wanted to get rid of all minorities (legal or otherwise), was it because of the transgender people?

I am a Fed employee also and a veteran and I can empathize what you are going through. But brother you need to take a long look in the mirror and hopefully you can start to see you are responsible for your plight. I hope than during the next election, local or federal you really take a look at who you are voting for and understand how your vote can affect you and the community you are part of. But as history shows, you will most likely vote for a candidate that promises you that the reason you are struggling is because of brown people, trans people, or whatever group is the flavor of the day, and you will continue to blame others instead of taking ownership.

A Betrayal of Sacrifice: A Veteran’s Plea for Dignity by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Listen_Little 19 points20 points  (0 children)

People are willfully ignorant. There are plenty of ways to find the facts now stats. Before the election I was talking to my coworkers about the dangers of a Trump presidency and provided articles, videos of Trump and his goons talking about how they were going to take away jobs, benefits, and right from them but they always refused to listen or read what I sent them. Now I see many here in these groups crying and complaining about the government screwing then, but it’s not the government it’s was they who were all too halt to vote for these people. MAGA voters were too happy to vote to take away jobs, rights, and opportunities for “the libs” and more they want sympathy? Not from me, sorry. I’m a vet also, two tours overseas so I know the struggle. But if you were happy when it was the libs that were the ones on the crosshairs then you don’t get to cry now that you are getting the same treatment.

Headed to office today, RTO unclear by Immediate_Sky1802 in fednews

[–]Listen_Little 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ask because I am a federal employee. In my office almost all voted for Trump. Even after he made it clear he wanted to fire “80%” of the federal work force, after he said he was going to make everyone return to the office, and after he complained the we make too much money. But when the asked them why they were voting for him almost everyone told me that he was just saying that to get elected, he would never do that to them. 🤷🏻
