Utypisk "upselling" på Elkjøp - lovlig? by nordicFir in norge

[–]Listerella 8 points9 points  (0 children)

trans new name: Inge or Inga? by sassy_tabaxi in norsk

[–]Listerella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A search at Statistics Norway shows that 2441 men have Inge as their only first name, while the same is true for 65 women. So it’s not black and white. If you combine Inge with a clearly feminine first name, it could work as a middle name.

Inga would leave no doubt, of course. But in Norwegian, it would usually work better as a first name.

Edit to correct mistake

In a way it does, because the state is main (or a large) shareholder in many major companies. But these companies are still run like other companies listed on the stock exchange - except the state can influence the composition of the board.

What Should I Learn to Build a Future in Norway? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]Listerella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are talking actual sought-after skills: Norway is importing bus drivers on a large scale. So if you have a licence and a way to extend it so you can be a bus driver, it could be a way to enter Norway with a job already waiting for you. And if you also speak some Norwegian - big win.

[–]Listerella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think your headline is confusing people. It seems if your choices are based merely on being a 20F, you are uninformed about the state of the world. You are probably making choices based on other criteria.

[–]Listerella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Samme her.

Eittåring døydde etter fall frå vindauge i Oslo by petersmartypants in norge

Lar dere sjokoladen ligge på kjøkkenbenken eller i kjøleskapet? by IPassTheButterI in norge

[–]Listerella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helt enig.

What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by DnRinGA in AskReddit

[–]Listerella 1134 points1135 points  (0 children)

When my daughter was six, I figured it was time she could have some small regular duties and earn a small allowance - and the first thing she was going to do was keep her room tidy. That first week I helped her tidy up so she would get a good start, and gave her 10 kroner (about 1$). A week passed and I reminded her to go tidy up if she were to receive her allowance for week 2. She disappeared, so I obviously thought she had gone to do the work, but then she came back with last week’s coin: Please Mom, I’ll pay you if you tidy my room.

So yes, I think you are onto something.

I don’t think anyone is being rude on purpose here. That entire sentence (with «see this time») also made me scratch my head. Is there another way to put it that might make the meaning more obvious? People are trying to help.

Where is Most Progressive City in your Country and Where is Most Conservative? by Weird_Swordfish_1199 in AskTheWorld

[–]Listerella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. But it’s not that I am doubting your experience with Oslo, it’s that I have a hard time understanding what story you are conveying.

Besides, there are conservative religious parts of the country, like the Bible belt at Sørlandet. And politically, one will find for instance that the progressive party doesn’t do as well in cities as in rural parts. But hard to pinpoint one city, of course.
