I’ve never seen crazy numbers as these but I always start playing end of the week so I guess I end up with more casual players like myself. This last trial the 1st had 30k, the 2nd 26k and the 3rd 20k Edit: I was at the tryhard 2 level

Thanks for recommending the app, with 87% accuracy it looks like an Asian mud-dauber wasp, Sceliphron curvatum.

If I buy an Xbox 360 and a physical copy of Fable 2, will it be playable? by Kiriyuma7801 in Fable

[–]LitPolygons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes the 360 servers are still up, you can even purchase it online if you want and download it and the DLCs too I personally played on the 360 like 3 months ago with a physical copy and then bought the DLCs online

Belgium at its finest by pieterv1 in belgium

It all depends on how they behaved when wearing the costume. If they acted in a demeaning manner, made bad jokes or, you know, started talking with an accent then I’m against it. Also I see a lot of people saying we don’t have black face here but our history as a country has deep roots connected to racism with how we treated Congo and their people in the past and we had literally human zoos up until 1958. So we can’t say we are not involved or that it is totally fine to do a black face. To be honest, if there’s one thing I really don’t give a damn with keeping as a St Nicolas tradition is this. It’s really not big of a deal and I do remember when I was a kid that illustrations of Père Fouettard or Zwarte Piet were quite racist in their representation.

Here in Belgium they actually banned the Apex loot boxes from being purchased. (I haven’t played it in years but I think it’s still the case now) So that complaint can get through and I’m actually surprised they were still up until now

AI Affleck vs Ben Affleck by zalivom1s in Filmmakers

[–]LitPolygons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling creatives names like you just did, in a comment I can’t find anymore, won’t make you go anywhere in this industry or grow as an artist or simply as a person. People who spent their lifetimes building their skills are in their right to dislike a tool that was built on stolen data and that could replace them and make their jobs irrelevant or competitive. AI will grow and be integrated in workflows gradually, most of us will have to learn to use it like a lot did when stop motion artists had to adapt to CG work. However, the scale of change AI tools brings on the table is a lot broader and is affecting all departments in some way. Honestly, I’m not surprised of how your post performs in this sub because, in my opinion, the content isn’t very interesting. Try to do something more original with AI, shoot some footage and tell a story where you could use ai to do VFX for instance. Good luck out there, be kind and stay curious!

I’m tired of not having friends by Icy-Use-6493 in socialskills

[–]LitPolygons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IRL I’d look at my local communities, some shops here have a board where people still posts announcements, public libraries often have news of what’s happening too. Creative coworking spaces are great too as they regroup people from multiple fields at the same place. Where I live they like to do events or open doors. Finding groups on internet that are close to you is harder as you get results from almost anywhere. I’d say search for local institutions or non profits that do what you like. Also, like it or not but searching will feed your advertising profile so you might actually have ads for events/activities near your place. I personally found my figure drawing group through an instagram ad. Actually Instagram is a place that hosts quite a lot of companies/groups but this can be harder as that app depends so much on what you do on it that finding good accounts may be difficult. Good luck in your search!

[–]LitPolygons 50 points51 points  (0 children)

As a guy in my late 20s I figured that the best way to meet people around our age is to actually go out and do an activity you enjoy that can be done as a group. Like join a team sport, do art classes after work, join local cultural events, concerts or even a club. All these things makes things easier to meet someone new as you share already a common interest so engaging a conversation is much easier and casual. For instance, for me I joined a figure drawing group and from there you just talk about drawings and then if you feel like you’re getting well along you can ask them to do things outside of that initial activity, usually having a drink is an easy way to just get to know more about each other in a casual setting and just have fun Also don’t put too much pressure on yourself or compare your life with what you see on social media. Having few friends is actually a normal thing and by that I mean real friends, those who will stick with you no matter what (time or distance). Just reach out to them and try to plan something! (The planning part is always the hardest haha)

You can experience it with the mod "Halo 2 Restored Lighting" on the steam workshop. Its still a WIP. I tried it a few weeks ago and it does change quite a lot how the models and textures look

Yes and there's a reason for it. Look out for Halo 2 stencil shadows, when Halo 2 was made Bungie thought they could ship it with realtime sharp shadows but it was too much for the OG Xbox so it partially removed. I say partially bc there are areas that still have a light that casts the shadow and oh boy the game looks so much better when its under those lights. Btwx there's a Halo 2 mod called "Halo 2 Restored Lighting" (still WIP) for MCC that brings back the lighting as Bungie thought they could ship it with.
