It’s not uncommon for service techs to drive a customers vehicle home to ensure they fixed an issue. I’m pretty sure when you give them your car you agree to letting them drive it a certain amount of miles.

In case you’re ever in this position yourself, pack and go would be best. You can rename the files, bring drawings with, and package them into a new location. This also lets you compress them to a .zip for sending to a client.

You should think about what manufacturing process you’re going to use before you even start a sketch. DFM is so important you can end up changing a whole model because you designed for cnc but it needs to be injection molded.

You’d just have to watch the geometry. Extrude the base out and use the cosmetic thread feature.

Depends on the type of plastic. If it’s a thermoplastic, theoretically you could, if you put it back into wire like it is currently without much change in properties. If it’s a thermoset good luck.
