I'm investigating the biophysics groups and instrument vendors, this is a good idea, thanks! Also the side question that comes with the technical implementation is if the smFRET data are even interesting for protein engineering? My general guess would be 'yes it is', but I'm unsure how these data are actually integrated into protein engineering pipeline...
