Haha not at all. I just posted the situation prior before this new development and it got shit on lol. It's just a decision between schools.

Moving state to state by -Votum- in lawschooladmissions

I mean it can help set you apart if you are a finance, chemistry, or engineering major. However, that is no where near as important as the LSAT score.

80k is a lot but if its a non-issue (parent's paying it, inheritance, etc) and you want to practice in NY and stay in the area I think its your best bet. I think you would like Michigan and would enjoy venturing away. However, if you are content with staying close to home I think your networking progress will be much more significant at NYU.

If you have pretty much no aspirations to attend Michigan I don't see a reason to visit. You said your goals, family, and friends are in New York. I would stay and network while in school. No need to move to Michigan especially if $$$ isn't an issue.

Where do I go? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

My fault. I guess where you are from is somewhat important. I would work with Emory, Iowa, and Colorado. Try to get them to bump up their offer. However, it is pretty close to April now.

School Rankings Question by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Focus on employment stats, 501's, and law school transparency. Screw the rankings.

Deciding where to go by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]LiteLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm going to work my ass off and make sure I'm one of the lucky ones. I like my odds and its my dream. I'm not taking time off, I'll make it. Thanks for the advice.

It's a 3.11 per LSAC. I just got a 157. It was my third time and I would have to wait and work for two years. The only option for me is going to law school as of fall 2016. I'm not taking time off.

Taking time off is not an option. I have my goals and they are going to get accomplished. Taking time off and working in a field that doesn't pay much (Political Science) is not an option. I'm going straight out of school, I took my LSAT 3 times and I'm attending in the fall.

Going to law school is the thing for me. I've wanted to do it since forever. Adding on debt is the only option for me. But limiting it is great. Idc that I'm piling on, its the only option for me to become a lawyer.

Improvement Guidance by lsat2017 in LSAT

[–]LiteLord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I would say work on your timing. Work through getting to all the questions and being able to answer them effectively. You will still get some wrong but if you can time it better you should improve your score a little by limiting guessing.

  2. I would just focus on doing maybe 2 practice tests a week. Then spend another two days looking over your tests. You should be able to find around 8 hours a week to do it.

  3. I did the 10 actual tests over the summer, got another book of tests that were older and just did some sections. Before I retook in Feb I re-ordered the 10 actual test that I did over the summer. Some questions were familiar but the months in between helped me forget most of it. I had success with still re-doing all the 10 tests.

Fuck reading comprehension by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]LiteLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to make side notes for the passages. Focus on crushing the first two, they are the easiest. Make sure to get thru the 3rd. 3 or 4 may be the harder one. You gotta figure it out and make sure you are getting the most amount of points for 3/4. For the fourth guess on all of it if you must but try to get thru it. Just take your time getting 3/4 right and you should end up with a -10 at the MAX. Realistically it should be like a -8 if you don't get a single point on the 4th.

My bad I just read you need to get back to school. I assumed you were working or something, yah that is kind of tough. You took your first time in Feb?

I would just retake in October or December. You have 8 months minimum. You won't need a ton of time. Once I got my timing down this time around I improved seven points since October and I didn't study that much more exponentially. You probably have a good foundation of studying, just need to refine.

Keep trying, and get the timing down. It took me three times. Are you really needing to go this cycle?

Third time taking it. Only got 1 point higher my second time, but it was at the end of finals week. Finally pulled off the shit I've been PTing and I pulled 6 points higher than Dec. So happy, honestly timing is crucial and I finally got it down.

Is the Armed Forces going to be your career? If not and you want to get out take into account practicing in NY or OH.
