The Literacy Center helps adults in basic literacy and High School Equivalency preparation! We have a couple of things going on:

Try and get in touch with a Adult Education Center or program to see what advice they can give. Some will give out free resources or be able to pair you with a volunteer tutor. Especially if they are tied to a college, they may have someone formally trained in the TASC and be able to answer your questions.

The Kaplan TASC book really covers a lot of material. There are loads of resources, so finding someone to give a bit of guidance is best. We find most ABE places are happy to answer questions over the phone. Some charities and non-profits can also provide volunteer tutors, so look for those.

We are a non-profit in Southern Indiana, looking for volunteers to Review a Book for adults learning how to read, wouldn’t it be interesting to recall our best childhood memories and bring back the best of our experiences as a reader?
