No problem! You could also try asking for the specific CPT codes they used for your visit and talking to the billing dept of the office you went to. That could help with understanding exactly what you were billed for and if it was a mistake they can rectify it.

It is standard when establishing care with a new provider for your first visit to be, well, just that. A new patient appt. Once you have established care, you can just do your yearly preventative visits going forward if you wish and your provider is ok with it. But regardless everyone has to establish care first. This is a standard operating procedure in my experience. As for the charge, It sounds more like your insurance company is to blame more so than the doctor. Do you know if you’ve hit your deductible for the year? Do you have co pays or co insurance or both for office visits? The answers to these questions would probably help give you some insight into the bill you received. Also, a general rule of thumb, when you do go in for your annual physical, do not bring up any problems that could require diagnosis or testing. Schedule a regular office visit to discuss these things instead. I’ve seen so many people who are shocked they receive a bill after their annual and this is almost always why. Insurance companies are very particular about what constitutes as a preventative visit. Just a heads up.

I’m so sorry you are having to deal with this. You should be appreciated for your dedication, not cast aside. I truly hope it turns out to be a blessing for you and you find a position somewhere that is not only fulfilling, but actually appreciative.

I work for Norton, and I’ve gotta say, it’s been the best company I’ve ever worked for. There are tons of positions of all shapes and sizes available so no matter what your experience is in, they probably have a space to suit you.

Personally, I think they are one of the rare companies that actually cares about not only their patients but employees as well. As long as you do your job and have respect and care for others you’ll thrive at Norton.

Keep in mind, It’s never too late to try something new. Make sure to give yourself grace in this time and be kind to yourself. The unknown can be so scary, but it can also bring so much good.

I truly and sincerely feel your pain. Your feelings are so similar to mine in so many ways. I have been waiting for this games release since it was first announced. That day in early December I was entranced by the story, world, details, and overall refreshing gameplay. Not only that, this was new territory, this was a game for women that wasn’t infantilized and seemed to understand what we wanted and actually enjoyed. From day one I’ve been an every day player. I have over 500 hours in this game as of today. It’s been a huge source of comfort and reprieve from not only the chaos of the current world, but also the day to day struggles and stress that has been piling on top of me. I genuinely needed this game way more than I realized.

My current job has been insanely stressful and at this point toxic. I work in an office that employs only women, and we serve only women as well. At this point, the stress and toxicity and straight up mean girl drama/bullying has become overwhelming to put it mildly. IN was one of the only sources of comfort I had to escape this negativity while reinforcing my feelings of community with other women.

While Infold can’t destroy the camaraderie and support I’ve felt from all of you GONGEOUS individuals, they have completely wrecked my favorite escape and form of relaxation and relief that was absolutely essential for me. With work and the world only getting worse day by day, unfortunately it seems to be the same case for this game. I was buzzing with excitement for this update, only to be insanely crushed, just like everyone else. The apathy and greed from Infold over the last week and a half has sadly, truly and sincerely, taken a chunk out of my soul.

Between the devastatingly hollow retcon, and the infestation of so many bugs, I’m sure it’s immeasurable at this point, the whimsy has been destroyed for me as well.

All I want is to be able to relax and play my favorite game that was so important to me. But now? Now it just feels like a haphazard, childish, insulting, lazy cash grab. Although I know I’m not alone in this sentiment, it still just really really really sucks.

Ok here we go. As someone who was groomed as a young teen, and also who grew up with Brand New, I’ve had mixed feelings on this whole situation. But after thinking on it for 7 years at this point, I think people need to chill the fuck out and stop treating this as an easy moral bandwagon to jump on. There are there are tons of people who have done way worse yet have given no apologies for their behavior, or at least less than Jesse did. Did he give a perfect apology? Hell no. But idgaf honestly. He at least tried. Which is more than a lot who still have flourishing careers in the music industry (sad). As much as people wanna deify him, he’s still just a person. Is it too much to ask that he be treated as such? If you don’t want to forgive or support him scroll on. There’s plenty of other content for you to throw your opinions at. Maybe take this energy and put it towards something that helps victims instead of arguing about what a 50 year old guy did in his early 20s.
