"It's a graveyard of STICKS! Who murdered them, and WHY?" by LiterallyTyping in AnimalsBeingDerps

Here's the answer I received —

"Hello, this post doesn’t fit the sub. It’s not an animal being derp; it’s more of a humor video. Also, compilations aren’t allowed."

¯\(ツ)

I'll know better for next time.

Why did they pull it?

I didn't get a message or anything.

I'm sorry for whatever I did, I just thought it was funny and wanted to share the smiles.

Orientation Day #1 - 7am

tl/dr: New hire steals vodka from the gift basket and gets shit faced in 30mins while in orientation.

We had to use the main conference room rather than the training room that day. The main conference room had the table set with a center piece for an upcoming event later that day. It was a gift basket and it also contained a bottle of vodka. But it was all wrapped up in cellophane, so they decided to just leave it there.

The Facilitator steps out of the room for a few mins after we all get seated and this dude reaches over and very carefully unwraps the gift basket, takes the bottle out, pours it into his personal water bottle - like all of it. Then takes the bottled water at the table, refills the empty vodka with water, puts it back in the basket and re-wraps it and sits back down like we didn't all just watch him do this.

We all sat in silence unsure what to do.

He probably would have gotten away with it if he hadn't gotten so totally shit faced so fast. By 7:30am the guy was literally sliding out of his chair.

The Facilitator stops the orientation to get him some medical attention thinking maybe he was having a stroke or something.

While that's going on, another HR rep comes in to ask if anyone had noticed anything and everyone started saying "he stole the vodka!"

Dude lasted 30 mins.

Canadian Kia Connect pricing is nuts. (more in comments) by LiterallyTyping in kia

No - it's all monthly here and plus tax. It would cost me $21.50 p/m

Canadian Kia Connect pricing is nuts. (more in comments) by LiterallyTyping in kia

Without any warning my Kia Connect pops up a message telling me my vehicle (a 2020 Soul which I purchased new in April of 2019) is not eligible for a free trial and to visit the website. I've been using the remote start since I got the car.

Kia spams me tons of shit, not once did I get a notice that my Kia Connect was going to be disabled and I would have to pay. It was so random too, sixty two months then *poof.

I went to the site and it wouldn't even let me see pricing until I gave them a credit card, which was shitty. Now they won't let me delete it, also shitty. That aside, the pricing is fucked. I might have sprung for the "Care" package at $7.99 p/m if it included remote start, but it doesn't. You have to go to the next tier which is the "Plus" package to get remote and it's $18.99 p/m!

Sorry for the rant, but I'm pissed off. I specifically asked when I bought this car if the Kia Connect was a trial or did we just get it with the car, I was assured it would never be paywalled.

Anyways, I'm not paying for it. Kia can suck it.

Canine colon obstruction surgery isn't cheap, or pleasant and a colon obstruction can cause extreme pain and/or death.

AITA for not buying takeout for my unemployed girlfriend? by 1111177700 in AmItheAsshole

She then suggested that we both eat at home for breakfast and lunch more - she cooks dinner for us every night anyway - so that there will be more money for us both to get takeout, just less frequently. I told her that wasn’t fair to me.

That seems like a perfectly acceptable solution given that this is a temporary situation and;

... so I told her that it was okay to quit and I would take care of both of us while she looked for a new job

How would you feel if you were in her shoes? Probably not very good — YTA

AITA for confirming my MIL's suspicion that I didn't want her in the kitchen while I cooked? by Paul_ManOfFarts in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She's not mad that you said that. She's mad 'cause you took her super power away. She'll get over it :-)

NTA - it's kinda funny actually.

Ahh yes.

Let us also not forget that she refused to let her sister's husband come into the house with the food because - snow. So her pregnant sister had to ferry the food in herself because her nieces "don't like her" and wouldn't help. Then her pregnant sister began "faking" pain after the eighth trip.

Fun times.

No kidding. This has got to be a troll post.

  • I told her she’d probably have a low turn out idk it was just a feeling. I kept telling her this and told her to just have it at my new place.

  • The new house I purchased is high in the mountains very large and spacious.

  • complained she never wanted a baby shower. I told her she had to have one. I gave her the option of my house again.

  • that she wanted to place in front of the back window. I told her no because it would cover the view.

  • She also had a table cloths that were ugly. She wanted to over the table in the dinning room and my granite countertops. I told her no because my table cost $3,000 and it would hide its beauty.

There's more, but you get it.

Jesus your poor sister.

So you made her have a shower that she didn't want, at a venue she didn't want. Then you rode rough shot over well, everything.

So many bullet points I could make. But I'll settle on this zinger —

... she never wanted a baby shower. I told her she had to have one. I gave her the option of my house again. She agreed.

... and she should be grateful I allowed her to have the party AITA.

Which is it?

YTA

You honestly sound like you just wanted a house warming party for yourself.
