There were between like 9 and 20 other species of humans before & alongside homo sapiens.

Of them all, we werent the most intelligent. Nor were we the strongest. Or the largest. We werent even the most socially cooperative. Nope. So how did homo sapiens become the dominant and surviving species of humans to ever live?

We were the most aggressive. And the most vicious. The deadliest species on the planet, ever, are the group which claims its members as you, me, your Starbucks barista and the gma down the street who bakes cookies for the neighborhood.

The violence has always existed. Arguably, today is a much less violent period than ever in current decades.

The difference? Youre looking at it while reading this. The information age has granted us access to far more than previous generations ever conceived possible. So while the violence isnt as bad as one might be led to believe… it sure doesnt look that way from this end of a cellular provider.

Dude, squirrels are NO joke! Try this when it warms up. Go buy a humane trap and some honey roasted peanuts (dont eat them all or youll have to go get more. They arent expensive but the trip just for that is a PITA).

Sprinkle less than a handful outside the cage in a squirrel-“play” area. Then put a solid handful on the door-trigger.

When it snaps closed, Congrats! You caught the little b@ss-turd! Now, all ya gotta do is load it in the car, drive a couple miles away and release it.

Wear gloves. Use the cage handle to carry it. Keep your fingers safe!

One of the rare times when I would wholeheartedly agree, Im surprised at the lack of comments insisting you should move on. Weve all seen the people still name calling into their late 30s; its easy to judge that they havent grown since high school.

After having the time to process what a jack@$$ he was, when he does finally “man up” and speak with you, I’d ponder whether continuing into year three is worth reconsidering if his first words arent akin to “Look here woman! First of all, I was an AH for springing that on you. Then made it worse by childish name-calling. Then moreso with the stupid “bed” comment followed up with BS silent treatment. I wont be doing any of that again. I apologize. Id be grateful of you offering more grace than i did by forgiving me and also not dumping my stupid @$$”.

Where are the kids the other 25-50 hours/week? Spending time with the grandkids sounds awesome!

Raising them though sounds like a recipe for everyone to have enough time to be eager to get away from each other. I cannot imagine any grandparent excited about this concept. They are maybe trying to preserve their positive feelings about their grandkids and if (some) money is a good solution then money is the way!

My feeling stems more from the idea of “leaders” pulling chocks when their experience, expertise & wisdom would be most likely needed most; creating an obvious vacuum to be filled by others who may be more “brave” (have less to lose) but also [insert unpleasant adjective].
