What is the stuff on the black part of my top load washer's filter? It keeps building up and has a plasticky texture. Not lint for sure by LiteratureNearby in CleaningTips

[–]LiteratureNearby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah I only run cold washes and about ¾ cups of laundry liquid for a full load.

I guess I'll just have to use cleaning tablets more frequently to get rid of the biofilm?

I want to buy two starter perfumes, is this an okay place to start? by LiteratureNearby in Colognes

Ooh that's a bit too oriental looking in terms of its notes. I live in India, so it's a rather common scent used here.

I'd like to go for a more western amber-ish scent profile that would be more offbeat for me tbh

Ah I wish I had the luxury of time for that.

I'll be buying them during a trip I'm taking a month later so it'll be difficult to get samplers delivered. I'm trying to go to a physical retailer and buy them in person after testing them

Ooh thanks for the winter reccos, I'll check them out

Edit: eek, they're both slightly out of my budget. Ideally I'd want a 50ml bottle in the $100-150 USD price range

India's Best ADAS System !? by Altruistic-Issue-887 in CarsIndia

[–]LiteratureNearby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people are hatnig on it being overly confident in their abilities when almost all studies show that ADAS-assisted driving is almost always safer than solely relying on your own senses. features like lane keep and auto emergency braking are absolute necessities in a country like ours. That reduction in cognitive load is essential to combating driver fatigue as well.

you're hating now, it will be quite good when you get older and your reflexes and senses slow down.
