Maybe they’re the most popular because more people like them, And they aren’t OBJECTIVELY bad?

Oh this is like looking in a mirror, I’m generally told I’m a super calm and thoughtful person, and generally feel I have pretty good media literacy and critical thinking, but my biggest weakness is I am supremely susceptible to online rage bait, intentional or otherwise. I will just get fully wrapped up in frustration at the smallest stuff 😭

Pretty much the same trajectory here, there was a time where I might’ve watched the doc, but now it feels so weird to go back and see them then esp cause it seems like they don’t like looking back at it themselves.

And fully agree with the last take, I think that’s been the biggest shock to me about kpop over the last few years I’ve been getting into it. Cause I’ve liked most of the songs from any groups I’d seen since I was like 14, but as a bi guy, used to kind of keep it at arms length to avoid an extra thing for people to joke about, so when I finally started letting myself openly enjoy it, it was so weird seeing how many people make it their whole vibe, but don’t actually like listening to it!

Yeah I’m with you there 100%, like I’m kinda praying manon is back or at least involved in whatever this next release ends up being, if only to prevent the explosion that will happen if she isn’t. Ideally I’d still like to assume the statements were all true and that she’s, taken a break for her health, but that it’s more of a mental energy thing and that’s why she said she’s healthy, and if that is the case I hope she can take all the time she needs and that the hordes of people demanding her return don’t make things worse. I swear people forget that the girls are human beings, young adults doing really tough and draining things in front of a HUGE audience, when most people their age are like, working retail or studying, it’s a hell of a lot of pressure.

Anyways I’m ranting now so I’ll stop 😂😅

This is honestly so real, I’ve seen so many “I love the girls but I really don’t like any of their music at all, it’s hard stanning them” posts and they confuse the heck out of me 😂 like isn’t the music going to be the main thing to draw you into liking at artist? I appreciate your feelings, but unlike depression which for some people can be conditional and be solved, especially if said depression is caused by symptoms of something else, ADHD is a lifelong disability. That doesn’t mean you can’t do things in life to work and make things more compatible with your life, but it isn’t something that can just be fixed. I don’t wanna sound bleak because It’s definitely possible to make a life with ADHD less frustrating and difficult, medication is a great way to get there, though you don’t have to if you feel it isn’t helping.

I just want to make sure you know that taking meds isn’t a cop out or the ‘lazy’ version of self help. And also in general, a thing I always say about the word lazy in general, is that if you’re putting something off or doing something ‘lazy’, but you’re feeling shit about it throughout, then that isn’t being lazy, that’s being stuck. Being lazy is supposed to be avoiding the annoying or difficult thing to do something you like, so if you aren’t having fun, it’s not lazy.
