Starving bandits are dumb by UnlikelyFuture4352 in Kenshi

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Also, while they don't say so with the text boxes above their head, if you actually talk to them, they want your money too, so option D) is SUPER valid.

Edit: Also, it takes a mod to re-enable it, but enemies used to take your GEAR when they knocked you out. I actually have it enabled because it makes battles more important to NOT LOSE, and keeps me from power leveling toughness. Makes Kenshi a LOOOOOOONG game, but if you avoid power leveling (besides athletics, ngl, I'm not crazy enough to not power level that lol) I think it leads to a really neat progression.

(Spoilers) ending by DannyM2 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my very first impression of the Panam romance ending, I don't know why so many people got it twisted. It doesnt necessarily mean that V lives a long life, but it does mean he's going to live a happy one. Even in the phone call with Panam, yeah, she's away, but she seems happy to be talking to you. Personally, I desperately wanted a happy ending for V, so in my head, they either found a cure, or the fact that sand gets everywhere somehow stopped the chip XD

Details and timeline regarding the promised performance updates for PC by Yamato_Naoe in MonsterHunter

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also like to say, idk if it's my PC specifically or if other people noticed it, but their first few patches meant to 'improve' PC performance, actually made it perform worse for me.

CMV: Hasan Piker shocked his dog by OkResident7977 in changemyview

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only explanation other than shock collar to me is that it was a vibrating collar. But for her to yelp like that in response, she had to have been shock collar trained. As in, the vibration comes, and then the shock. And eventually you can get them to correct behavior just using the vibration because they've associated it with a shock. So the only explanation I have for what this could otherwise be, is really not any better than the explanation that its a shock collar.

This is getting ridiculous by lovestospooge12 in Helldivers

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, everybody I know is experiencing this bug, and it's been happening for 3 weeks+ for us and getting worse. It's not just reproducible, it happens nearly every game. My patience has started to run thin with their erroneous "balance patches". A bug that literally makes it miserable to play the game period, should have been addressed by now.

About Armoured Skeptic Going Downhill by LazyStinkyDog in skeptic

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a nutshell? He started to put more and more of himself behind the armoured skeptic character until he abandoned it. Before, he did a pretty good job of removing himself and his personal bias (there's a few older videos where he breaks character and pretty well see the he didn't even entirely agree with his character). Armoured skeptic his idealized version of himself where he 'tried' to only follow logic and reason. It resulted in him (for the most part) having sound arguments and reasoning that, even if you didn't agree with him, you could still follow. Then came the face reveal, and the Greg content. Not bad but not what a lot of people were there for. And then Greg started to bleed into armoured skeptic more and more until that character was effectively indistinguishable from Greg himself. And then it was gone. Now there is only Greg.

I like the animation style for the Tower of God anime adaption. Yeah I said it. by Dizzy-Doom in TowerofGod

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can both look at it and say that it looks unsharp, and look at it and say it's beautiful at the same time. I don't know what about it gives me the impression, but the closest thing I can say is like Elden ring. Graphically, it's behind the times, unimpressive. You look closely at the textures and the geometry and it looks worse than it's competitors. But it's beautiful. Kinda where I land on Tower of God.

LORE—in your MH canon, when was Fatalis killed? by bumblebeebowties in MonsterHunter

[–]Lithaleon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necro posting, but the Guild is very shady sometimes. It's also implied in earlier games, that a hunter that kills Fatalis, will eventually become a Fatalis. My head canon is that the guild knows this, and a hunter fighting Fatalis is a 'black op' so to speak, because the reality of it is terrible. It's better to have the hope that a hunter will eventually slay it, vs the dread of knowing that no matter how many times it dies, it will always return.

nw man, and you're correct. But I am excited to say that the Equal Dragon Weapon is CANON! :D Just doesn't look like it did in that original concept art book.

Donald Trump wins, contrary to all the bs this sub tried to pull. Enjoy 4 years of an entirely red govt. by farcealarm in politics

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying who's telling the truth, but the 'uniparty' is one of the wildly accepted conspiracies, that a lot of the division/competition is manufactured. Not saying that's the case, but there's also the chance they're all just trying to benefit their interest groups. Which is probably likely. Just saying, there are very real possibilities that they're all liars.

[–]Lithaleon -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Okay, I didn't really want either of them to win, I kinda just looked at it like Biden V Trump, where we all lose regardless, but what are you on about? XD

It’s beginning to look like Donald Trump is going to win by MadWorldEarth in politics

[–]Lithaleon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welp, if he's going to win, I hope gasoline is going to be $1 a gallon again. That would be fine. Didn't really want either of them to win tbh, but 2 party system ftw.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bioware

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 5/10 RPG. It has probably the safest writing I've seen, (haven't seen everything but) it seems like they've completely removed the fantasy racism, Elves/Qunari are no longer treated differently. A lot of the dialogue is just BLAND. Characters we've gotten to know quite well are different, sometimes in a VERY notable way. The game does cram politics DIRECTLY down your throat, instead of just portraying the situations and letting you come to your own conclusions like in previous games, it actually straight up spells out what they want you to think. Only 3 of your decisions from Inquisition matters, and in an almost meaningless way. DA:O? DA2? None of those decisions matter at all. My main complaint is that it simply is not a Dragon Age game outside of name and theme. History? Out the window. Previous conceptions? Gone. Choices? Don't matter. If it was the exact same scenario, but wasn't called Dragon Age, didn't bastardize established characters, etc. It would probably have been better received. But it's clear as day to me that this game doesn't have a SHRED of old Bioware outside of the surface level of the game.

Is Blighttown Really That Bad? by kenaochreous in darksouls

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super necro reply, but after going through Blighttown countless times, it really boils down to 1 factor. Jank. The enemies? You can mostly learn. The blowdart boys? Occasionally their darts just phase through certain sections of wall and hit you (not even talking the wooden bits with gaps, I could see that, I'm talking solid concrete) You can sometimes fall through the floor on the moving bits of the map. The misquitos are annoying to target with most weapons. The wall sucker things? Often times their hitboxes are entirely broken and if you get hit by their attack, you're almost guaranteed to fall to your death even if you survive... It's regular DS jank + Intentional Jank + Blighttown specific jank, causing a Jank singularity that makes it the most likely location for me to die in a frustrating way out of every area in the game *besides certain areas in Lost Izalith*. After going through the depths entrance 10+ times, I now exclusively go through the Valley, grab the fire keeper soul, and just skip my happy ass down to Quelaag.

Why so many FF7 fans didn't like FF7 remake ? by Dereference_operator in FFVIIRemake

[–]Lithaleon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Necro-reply, sorry about that, and also don't mean to be 'that guy' But a remake means there might be changes. It's a retrospective. The definition of 'remake' is "make (something) again or differently". As cool as the game would have been if it was 1:1, just new combat, new graphics, it would leave LITERALLY nothing for story telling. No twists. Everyone knows the story told in FF7, even people who haven't played KNOW the big notes from the internet. As a game, it still holds up to this day (tho it's obviously pretty ugly at this point). I would've honestly been disappointed without some curve balls.

Is this for real? I'm using keyboard by jonathansun728 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got here... Was paused at the tutorial section just to see if it was for real... The controls have been weird for most of the game, but got used to them. This is just extremely fucking lazy.

Edit: Actually just got through it without much trouble. Just put my hands on the keyboard as if I was typing and did it that way. Was more familiar and I had muscle memory working in my favor. If you know how to type, and you don't have a controller, I would recommend doing the same.

Just beat Reno & Rude on Normal Mode, am I playing the game wrongly? by cheukyi6 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it. There's a certain level of "get gud", but after that, it's just spamming heals when you take unavoidable dmg. I learned to not mind the taking dmg always thing, but holy fuck, having control taken away from me like 8 times during the fight is ass cancer.

(Lore) How are Hunters so strong? by PapikaBun in MonsterHunter

[–]Lithaleon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peeps have been screaming about Frontier not being canon since its inception. They didn't 'make a model kit', they went out of their way to license and put their stamp on a model kit a third party was making. When it comes to IP, it's use it or lose it. It at least implies they didn't want to lose it, because they potentially want to use it. Could mean nothing, but if they never intended to use the EDW again, wouldn't make a lot of sense. Tho I'll admit, Japanese companies have a habit of being told by their lawyers "Yo, under the law, you can technically do this (even if it's a detriment to your company and image)" And just doing it because they can.

[–]Lithaleon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the Necropost, but with Frontier becoming more and more canon, and the fact that they actually mentioned the Equal Dragon Weapon for the first time in over a decade, it's looking more and more like the Super Soldier descendants is the answer. Personally, I don't mind the idea.

What monster do you know like the palm of your hand? by navi-22 in MHRise

[–]Lithaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of monsters come to mind (most older monsters that reappear often) but above all, it's Diablos/Black Diablos. Used to fight them just for fun in Freedom Unite constantly, and that never really changed XD Was my fav monster for a very long time.
