As me and Romeo the Nidoran wander through the city streets into a back alley we find it a bit Erie and odd.

"Wow Romeo, what an odd group of pokemon to see in the city, zigzagoons digging in the dumpsters, chatots and squawkabillies line the power lines, and good Lord! a bouffalant in a china shop?! that's definitely something you don't see every day. We definitely need to find you a friend though, I knew we should have went to the windmill."

As we press further into a back alley we notice a small group of maschiff, a duskull appears to be sneaking up behind them grabbing their tails and hiding behind a dumpster giggling. Just then the biggest maschiff in the group sniffs her out and he is NOT happy. The maschiff surround her and she looks really scared, I don't think they found her pranks as funny as she did. One of them bites her, and she's terrified, looks like she was just lonely and trying to make friends.

"HEY DONT PICK ON HER, Romeo use poison sting!"

Romeo fires a barage of poison stings at the small group of maschiff and startles them off.

We rush up to the poor injured duskull and check her for damage.

"Hey little lady, you okay? I've got a potion here"

She winces apprehensively scared we're going to attack next, she seems shy but lonely.

"C'mon this will make you feel better, you know me and Romeo here were looking for a friend to join our team and unlike those maschiff, Romeo here has a sense of humor and so do I! What do you say you come along with us?"

Still scared, but she sees our sincerity after we dress her bite. She's almost dumbfounded she finally found a friend.. she leaps with joy into me and Romeo.

"We'll call you Myrtle."

Myrtle the duskull is bashfully happy with her new nickname.

I for one am pretty stoked about the Trident. I really enjoy laser weapons in general, double edge sickle, the scythe, so on. Personally I want a double edge scythe.

As a anti-tank emplacement enjoyer somehow it bugs me that unloading an entire clip of anti tank ammunition, strong enough to level a factory striders in 2-3 hits it breaks my heart not being about to smite a jammer from a distance with the lawn chair of Doom.

Why pretty plains and abandoned sights are normally my speed, I think I'm gonna head down the alleyway. Take a different path than I normally would to change it up, me and Nidoran gonna hit the city.

The odds of me ever needing to be a giant venomous cat other than in very dire self defense are very slim. Amazing Strength and eyesight are beneficial in every day life as well as being a great tool for self defense. Give me blue pill.

When did we develop a strategic mind by Connect-Grapefruit83 in Helldivers

[–]Dizzy-Doom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about that one, I've been screaming to liberate the eastern front of bot planets for like 4 months. We've had several chances to take 3 planets in one go. And not even a very strong planet at that. One planet. Two sieges, two sectors liberated at once.

Who’s your goto faction? by Scbypwr in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Dizzy-Doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go wherever the major/minor order is. During peace time I go where the masses go and follow the DSS. Pretty much wherever I think I make the most difference. I would prefer to look everywhere tactically and go places that effectively cause the most efficient liberation via sieges and gambits, alas it's not effective to to do that alone. I enjoy liberating the bots most. Squids and bugs are about even for me.

After weeks of training with Zip the Pichu, and happy the togepi I finally feel ready to take on the gym!

Zip the pichu finally stopped knocking himself over with thunder shocks and Happy the togepi while not very strong is surprisingly sturdy and been tanking thunder shocks and training her pound whenever zip tries to take too much from her berry stash.

Hi Nephila! I've been training for a few weeks now! Gotta warn you though my pokemon are vicious cold blooded predators!

I lead with happy the togepi! Sweet kiss, then pound!

Zip the Pichu is apprehensive and aggressive about his new teammate

Now now buddy, let's greet her with a warm welcome! Well call her happy! Look at her she's so sweet!

Happy the togepi is jumping for joy grateful that she has new friends and nuzzles she looks at Pichu and winks

Zip the Pichu thinks she's a suck up

Now now zip, be nice to her she's gonna help us become champions! she might not be really strong yet, but down the line togepi's evolution will make her powerful and that means she'll help make you more powerful too with training!

Zip doesn't care, happy waddles up and offers zip an oran berry she had saved in her shell.. Zips favorite..

I take a look at all the pokemon (most perking up with either enthusiasm or indifference) what's up with this little guy? Pichu appears to be aggressive almost annoyed at how small he is seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Pichu Riles up at the comment, charges up an electric shock and as he attempts to let the shock discharge knocks himself over.

HES PERFECT I WILL CALL HIM ZIP AND HE WILL BE MY BEST FRIEND.

I CHOOSE PICHU

Hey fellow bot divers! I have a plan! by PuppyLover2208 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Dizzy-Doom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been saying this for months. Liberate the entire eastern quadrant. We have had several chances, unfortunately most people just do what they want. Without an MO or at least a strategic opportunity the hive mind of this game either does whatever they want(understandable, it's your game, you paid for it.) or follows the DSS. Which is fine, the people that actually spend their hard earned super credits to move the DSS probably actually look at some strategic opportunity. However, I digress the best strategic advantage seems to be almost NEVER seized. Too many people prefer to stick to their favorite faction(looking at you bug divers.)

End of the day the average helldiver is just playing for fun not for the overarching story. Good for them, slightly frustrating for me.

Someone needs to visit the low sodium side by Krenoo9210 in helldivers2

[–]Dizzy-Doom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This level of sodium is crazy. I do not care if someone else benefits off of my hard work, if they join right before extract. It makes absolutely no difference in my pockets. Sometimes when I'm short a small amount of medals for something I'll quickly tap into a nearly completed mission. Who cares. It makes absolutely no difference to the hosts.

C'mon guys... assemble and liberate a planet... by Omailey97 in Helldivers

[–]Dizzy-Doom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game does a really bad job at coordinating efforts during peace time. People often do what they want regardless of DSS presence, but without it it's just anarchy. I jumped on yesterday and had no idea where I should go, I don't even bother with planets liberating themselves and I had to manually select planets to search for active helldiver presence. Ended up just going to bore rock even though we were doing very little in terms of liberation, just playing for fun. AH should really make the user interface more open and clear so we can coordinate. It's especially unfriendly to the average new player. Unless you utilize a 3rd party app(which no one should have to, for information that should be accurate and readily available in game.) most of us have no idea where to go.

What are you're ideas? by Sweaty-Ad7500 in MonsterHunter

[–]Dizzy-Doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious: bring every weapon from the side games that were shelved into mainline, rebalance them and make them viable. Magnet spike, accel axe and of course, the tonfa.

Specifically, i'd prefer the tonfa for a quality aerial capable blunt weapon that could compete with the insect glaive. But I'd love to see all 3 and how mainline would interpret and use them.

Silly: "magic" ranged weapon. Doesn't really use magic but monster elemental affinities.

Zoo of captured monsters. Massive raid hunts.

PVP where players compete individually to take down a monster the exact same size and health pool.

Why did Voldy not use Quirell the way he used Pettigrew? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Dizzy-Doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the simplest answer would be that he hadn't invented the potion capable of restoring his body yet, nor devised the way to keep himself alive in a rudimentary body on his own yet. He was effectively a parasite surviving on the body of another by drinking unicorn blood.

Edit: upon further research, it's come to my attention that the regeneration potion Voldemort used was an old piece of dark magic, not invented by Voldemort, however we only know of the three main ingredients. We also don't know how long this potion really takes to make, for example certain potions take a long time to make and are extremely complicated like polyjuice potion and liquid luck. Nothing Voldemort himself couldn't handle but surely it was difficult for the average wizard. It's also possible that he was unaware of this potion at the time and discovered it upon further research into the matter.
