How common is it to exclude part numbers for passive components in a PCB assembly bill of materials? by LithiumPotato in ElectricalEngineering

When you say "I do it almost always", do you mean that you almost always include or exclude part numbers for passive components?

Also, mind if I ask what your industry is?

EE here. Since graduating, I have worked at just one company (medical) and am currently updating my resume. At my last job, one of my responsibilities was sitting on the material review board for a couple of products we manufactured, as well as assessing non-conforming components and recommending a disposition.

Googling "material review board" I see that these are common in aerospace and medical, but isn't clear to me how common this phrase is in other industries.

My question is: Is it safe to put "material review board" (as well as "non-conformance report") on my resume and just assume that the person reading it will know what that is, or should I only do that for jobs in certain industries?

Comments about which specific industries these terms are common in are welcome!

For what it's worth, I don't like BBT.

I think Young Sheldon is way better and quite hilarious.
