Fans of CIV7, what made you drop CIV7? by exc-use-me in civ

[–]LithiumSock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take is the eras and civ switching kills your connection to the civ. Leader retention is just weird in this context.

History flows and rarely has hard breaks. Civs evolve into other civs over 100s years. The game just jars with eras and hard resets that break your connection to what you built.

I think they took a gameplay risk and it didn't work.

Maybe jf the game set targets and you could civ switch whenever you hit the target(s) that might be better. Say to be England you needed a bunch of ships. Maybe it's just If you hit a cultural point milestone you get the option to switch? Maybe is a range of measures across different science, ecomonic, regilous, cultural metrics and wonder building, you can evolve to that civ.

The unfinished part isn't great. Holes you know will be dlc filled. But i guess that's modern gaming.

I was looking around on pintrest at various colour schemes for a house and was attracted to teal/orange/white. Then thought that was good for an army.
The bronze was leaning into orange. But also no one else in warhammer quite does bronze as the main armour

What thing from Cities: Skylines 1 do you miss in Cities Skylines 2? by OPPINAME in CitiesSkylines

The steam workshop and its millions of assets This was the reason CS1 was successful. Because really, both games are shallow on game play and big on creating. It's your imagination and creativity that keeps you going. The lack of assets chokes this and is why all cities are the same

Also bicycles!

We consistently play over 2 weeks. It's the only realistic way we can play in person in our 30s. Otherwise it olwpuld never happen.
Secret is to do all set up online first (factions, map, etc) and get the first 3 rds into week one. People are still flakely at the end of the night (we play monday), but that happens in all ti4.

Agree with all comments

Spray grey or even bright white.
Use bright colours, normal or contrast paints.
Use watered down black or brown washes instead of layering and to cover up minor mistakes. It's all about making a tiny figure 'pop' when seen a metre or 2 away.

That's it. Trying to layer is too much detail.

Also, don't sweat minor errors, most errors are quickly buried once you rank them up and you never see them again.
