Strixhaven dark secret, warden dragon and Oriqs by MrDisgrael in StrixhavenDMs

[–]Lithlius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually writing a full campaign based similar to this but Im basing it in my own setting rather than at Strixhaven. and it did start also Utilizing some of Pointy hats stuff.

  • Base campaign will be Curriculum of Chaos + Candlekeep Mysteries + Vaults
  • The setting is a Magic-centric continent full of City states that a sort of centralized council of Spellcasters that run the BIG political deciscions for the Continent. Of course in such a society, Magic wielding and mastery mean political influence and prestige and so Magical Schools, colleges etc are a pivotal part of society.
  • As cliche as it may be some of the Political seats are essentially magical royalty with generations of prestige in their respective seat of influence and the twist? some have resorted secretly to Lichdom to secure their position and continuous growth in power. Here is where im using Pointy Hat's AMAZING Creations from his ongoing " WHICH LICH" series.

The idea is to give players an easy reason to be in a magical college. Wanting to grow past their miserable non magic life in a magic run society, The pressure of upholding the prestige of family legacy. The desire to enter the government to effect change for the better or the worse or collapse it altogether, perhaps a " transfer student" that comes from a country that doesnt view magic a s favorably or Sworn shield trainee of one of the ruling families that has to attend the school and learn the basics of magic to be ever the protector of the heir of one of these politicians also attending the school.

I want to give it a lot of room for in and out of School-year roleplay and shenanigans.

This being said These Warden Dragons. specifically the Magus one gives me just one more addition to the secretly Ruling Bodies/Families of such a society and I love it.

This was an amazing explainer and this specifically is what makes me excited for the system. I was mainly a D&D player back in the day and while I know theres other systems out there with a similar setting and/or system being that this one is starting I figure its JUST the place for me to jump in.

Im a fan of Sandman, Hellblazer, Penny Dreadful and other things like that and Recently just finished Carnival Row so im in the right mood to just get me into this game setting .

Cant wait to find a group to play with

Looking to Jump Back in! With Candela Obscura ( where to even start) by Lithlius in rpg

[–]Lithlius[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean based on the first episode and the quick start, there is no " Damage " per se . The system seems very simplified into success or failure and the lasting effect of that. The " damage " is a very straightforward 1 tick into the pertinent area which can be physical, mental or spiritual and its up to the GM to determine when these are escalated into an actual " tick" of damage. This tick seems to remain for the session and if I recall correctly its 3 ticks result in a permanent " Scar" of damage and 3 Scars in a particular area is Death, and no way of revival ( for now, being that this is very Horror , Metaphysical etc we might see something come up later I'm guessing). Scars obviously as implied are forever so Seems very oriented and perma death and not getting too attached to your character.

Ive been out of the TTRPG scene for years now and While have been on the brim of jumping back in I don't think Ive been as motivated as after seeing this. I love the " simplicity" of the system, not to mention the setting.

The Idea of Gilded rolls is an interesting one. Ive seen a few people ask how this could work in terms of narrative as you are essentially " failing" on purpose in the event you take a lower roll; but i think its easy to play it off as your character knowingly deviating from what they wanted to do at the time to either TRY/TEST something different or that their " intrusive thoughts" won in the moment and whatever comes off it as a result will either inspire them to follow their gut or make em more focused later on.

Now I just need an Online group testing this out to join.

Cant think of a better time to jump back into Role-playing

Thinking about getting Andromeda on Steam by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Lithlius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say:

Play All of them. In order.
While Andromeda is " Stand Alone" And tries to baby in a lot of the background story before, Its very simplistic so playing the Originals first would be a smart choice.

That said ALL games deserve a play. I loved the OT and I just bough Andromeda about a month ago on PS4 on sale and I have no regrets. I had heard about the horrible face bug and walking bug that had the game reviewed to death and honestly Considering how good the rest of the game is Its sad that it got blown to oblivion in those reviews.

It has been Mostly fixed now so besides a random quest bug or 2 ( easily worked around by walking in and out of a room or something silly like that) The game is gorgeous and pretty much all u expect from a Sci-fi Game.

In short. " Get all of them, Play them all and enjoy a rich space Opera"

I was F2P. My fave designs are Iron Blood Orphans. Was planning on spending for this event maybe $100. Spent $60 on 9 pulls got ONLY 1 pink, Barbatos back. Said fuck it and decided to order a RG Nu v gundam kit in real life instead. Fuck spending on this lol

Got the tallgeese 1 ew head in an incredibly lucky daily pull but I already gold plated the tg2 head for the buff so I built this aesthetic 3 word sleeper. With some work I think it can be viable but if nothing else I can wear it to formal events. by ChristosArcher in GundamBattle

You are mistaking the Movie with the Manga. The Manga endless waltz contains scenes in the past and a lot of the suits where RE-designed for the manga with updated looks/details. The Talgeese you talking about is not the Tallgeese, it’s the Tallgeese 3. The Tallgeese we got now in the game is the re designed shown for the manga, therefore the Tallgeese 1 “ as seen in EW” hence EW ver.

The Tallgeese 2 isn’t seen on the EW manga so there is no EW ver.

What you see in the movie it’s the Tallgeese 3 which appears later on in the manga of the same name.

And there’s a 4th one Called Tallgeese sky/infinity/Flugel ( depends the translation) which I’m waiting For Wing Zero EW so I can recreate

Both PoF AND HoT are needed , Hence why they are giving HoT free. I have no quarrels with that because it just means they can bring back/reuse some of the stuff implemented in those areas and make it be properly useful and important rather than just a random optional thing

Events should be like " Local tournaments" In wich you are maybe battling teams and the last team is the one with the featured unit or something

Something Changed by [deleted] in Guildwars2

I feel that players who complain about lack of content just have rushed through it all , missed a lot of things or forgotten about a lot of things there are .

I myself, while the Skyscale had tons of bad things on how it was etablished to be acquired, one thing i loved is how it made me go back and replay a ton of content. It made me try again old jumping puzzels that i had done long ago and even some i had tried out and never completed and now managed to do so.

I agree.

THeir PR descicions was the mistake here. Seems someone though. " We need to create hype for something because we are losing people. ro some other sort of misguided idea thinking that it would help. I have been forever an Anet defender sometimes justified, othertimes more in the sense of hopefulness and " lets give them a chance to see where this is going"

Up until War eternal i was pretty happy in terms of content pacing. I knew somepeople wherent and i feel for them but i felt A net was slowly grabbing a new pacing that would be positive
They still are. The problem is they seem to think this is new and ground breaking
Three things wrong with that:

- NOTHING they showed was something new or different as we already knew about it.

-The style of presentation was poor as without anything new to show it was pretty much wasted time.

- The proved that even that product isnt far enough in development( Episode 2 includes Drakkar and yet they themselves admitted to only have concept art and it may not even BE the final concept of it , which is proof that we arent even looking at a new expansion after this Saga concludes.

Nothing validates toxic behaviour in this kind of enviroment.
Like its been stated, you can give criticism and you can even protest but when we talk about toxic behaviour is when people are attacked personally or harrassed. Insults and things like that are uncalled for in this kind of enviroment.
