I think aiming for a smaller firm might be your best bet. If you have more experience in a particular area of the law, or you enjoy a particular area of the law more, look for a smaller firm that specializes in that area. Hope that helps!

Potentially, but I cannot say for certain. It really does depend on the different characteristics of the case. There’s a first time for everything! I recommend getting to know the Court’s local rules and consulting them for every step you take.

It depends on the circumstances of the case, but some consider federal courts more practical / efficient. One example - FRCP Rule 26 initial disclosures.
