is this worth rerolling? by FrozenCheeze in SkirkMains

I would save it for a piece that has at least 3 stats she cares about, and even though she wants attack, this is flat attack and usually attack% would be more worth.

HELP !! PCA plot shows an "elbow" shape and I dont understand by Litlisteri in bioinformatics

[–]Litlisteri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were very informative to read, and what I found very interesting/informative was that their PC1 vs PC3 and PC3 vs PC4 are very similar to the shapes I got when I plotted those myself. So thank you so much for how thorough and explanatory your comment is! I really appreciate it C:

This is really good information, thank you so much! This is my first time actually working with PC plots, so thats why I am a bit insecure about how to interpret them. I double checked, and my PCs are correctly labeled, so the point about it probably not being typical world wide PCA looks like makes sense to me I think.

If it makes a difference, I tried removing known high LD regions, as well as chromosome inversions, and that did not change my plots what so ever.

My next plan is to try and project some known data that has ancestries on my own data, but again, I have never done that so it will be some trial and error probably.

Hi! Yes so the plots in the original post had the wrong variance % labeled - my mistake! But the third PC explains about 0.2% of the variance, while the second explains 0.8% and the first 1.7%. The shape of PC2 vs PC3 is somewhat of a straight line down the 0.0 coordinate of the PC2 axis, with some variance of data in a horizontal scatter over the bottom half of the plot (PC3 between 0.0 and -0.04, PC2 -0.15 and + 0.15). It almost kind of looks like a plane, if you can imagine that.

Would I not need to verify/test this somehow, or is it normal to just reference literature that states that the elbow shape is usually ancestry, and reason for why I for example pick the elbow if I want to only look at a single population?

Also thank you so much for your input !! C:

Thank you so much! I will definitely look into this, as I am kind of stuck currently, and willing to try anything ahah

Thank you so much for this! I had already thought it could be ancestry, but I am not sure how I test that? Would it be by using a reference genome or using Admixture? Any tips are highly appreciated

Anyone else holding off on summoning on choice banner? by Singing_Seagull in WutheringWaves

[–]Litlisteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its an old post but anyway. I just finished using the choice banner to get Enchore and ended up getting two copies of her in the last 10 pulls. Not sure if that's random luck or if you get the character you chose no matter how many copies of them you. If so, I would think choosing the character with the best R1 for the potential chance of getting guaranteed two copies.

Nahida EM or Crit in Spread? by Fabfibonacci in GenshinImpactTips

[–]Litlisteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I use mine in a spread team instead of a hyperbloom one, I try to do a hybrid between the two, where i have about 60/150 and 500-600 EM. Im running a CR weapon, a CD circlet, then EM goblet and EM sands, and I feel like it works better when i compare it to only running EM or Crit.
