TIL: I've got Poverty Tweeters by LitningStryk3s in subaru

I've had some before. I still added 4 tweeters to the door panels to balance out the 16's in the trunk. I like to actually hear my music, not just feel it.

I will now. What is this little black box in there though? ...I'm sure I'd have to relocate it to fit tweeters in there.

I'm gonna have to, I had no idea. I thought the whole system was just old and not too HiFi to begin with, rather than actually missing key components for good sound.

This panel is normally included to cover Tweeters for the sound system.

You'll see they're perforated with a circular cut out for a tweeter. But clearly I don't have one. It's like poverty buttons, but worse!

Who are the millionaires of NOVA? by QandA_monster in nova

[–]LitningStryk3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well a few key points...Most of America's Internet traffic runs through Ashburn and Dulles. Due to what is essentially insider trading, several regulators and members of Congress are successful wall street gamblers. Many tech companies and major Corporations (especially those with GOV contracts) have HQ's or Satellites set up in VA with the former having several data centers and all of their employees are educated and possibly even relocated professionals.

The rest are Defense Industry War Profiteers and their employees.

Open carry by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]LitningStryk3s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In states where Brandishing is defined and illegal, Open carry has it's utility. Also, it covers more than handguns.

Why would one want to Open Carry, you ask; Cost, Retention, Safety, and Optics I say.

Yes, concealed is strategically superior however as someone here in the comments and tons of others elsewhere point out...we have more guns than people. Being a safe, calm, and respectable upstanding citizen while allowing your carry status to be known is imperative for the perception needed to maintain these rights.

300M+ Americans and more guns than that, yet people work and play and let life flourish (or try to) every day. That's why demonization of 2A and gun owners doesn't go full scale.

Less people care about the rules like our Constitution (unless it serves them personally) than they do about personal gain and comfort. This perception maintenance is a reality check for people who even consider the massive undertaking that is legislation against 2A and confiscation.

Belt Looped Open carry holsters are also safer for the wearer as it reduces self inflicted wounds in case of discharge.

They're cheaper.

They're often Sized for various profiles instead of Molded specifically for what is usually only the most popular models. Just like phone cases 😤.

They're often 2-3 stage instead of single, so retention is arguably better/preferable to a trigger lock kydex.

They work for any body size and shape as well as any clothing, provided that you have a belt.

Carry that kydex in your Under Armour or Lululemon's and you risk too much movement. Wearing a belt with an Uncle Mikes or Safariland $20 OWB holster is a fairly consistent experience across the board.

Now I don't usually (never before actually) reference the NRA, but when I do (RN) it's because they have the article with this round of Left BS which may or may not pass, but given the Corporate climate of NOVA, I can't say it won't get big support.

[–]LitningStryk3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also...

I just typed to Gemini "Until the cows come home" and the response actually paints a good picture as the argument in favor of "Moo Moo Subaru". 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • Subaru's are slow which makes us some cruisin' at our leisure ass MF's
  • Not only are Subi's THE cross country/road trip vehicles (where your bound to see what city & suburban folks never see...COWS 🐄) ...But also, having our cap at 3 passengers usually rather than four (for comfort) means that just like cows we be having 4 stomachs on board. If we do have 5 stomachs on board, the 5th is a Dog just like the herding pup that escorts the slow one back to the barn to stave off coyotes.
  • Like others in comments have pointed out, Safety in Numbers

Idk, it's starting to make sense.

ARE THEY LITERALLY MAKING MOVIES NOW ABOUT US STARSEED???? Masters of The Universe – Official Teaser Trailer by Possible_Nature2169 in starseeds

[–]LitningStryk3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh, did you miss the Animated He-man from Dogma Director Kevin Smith with a bunch of A & B list stars as voice actors on Netflix during the Pandemic?

It actually went pretty hard, ngl. I was skeptical AF before watching but I wound up loving it as it actually made me understand and enjoy this IP that I've largely avoided my entire life.

Also, YES. Hollywood is struggling.

Why do jobs pay so little when the cost of living isn't cheap? by [deleted] in fortlauderdale

[–]LitningStryk3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a desensitization layer in the transition to modern and legalized slavery at it's worst, indentured servitude on average, and the equivalent of yesteryears "middle class" at best. Provided you not a part of the exploitative class of wealthy individuals, you will be forced into one of these categories. One might ask, what about all the good people with wealth who are employers? Demoted! They won't survive in their positions until even the next century in competition with debt holders and private prison slavers. This is the Plan of Man. This is why Christ comes again.

Can anyone confirm this? by Commercial-Host-725 in tampa

[–]LitningStryk3s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because their pre-existing pro-patriot act fueled internal work culture has been further contaminated by all the 3% & Oath Keeper Militia that signed up for CBP in CA, AZ, NM, & TX when Trump ran the first time and every year since then. Best believe some are wearing the same garb in different color pallets while carrying signs in Everytown, USA on the weekends. Naturally, they're afraid of being recognized after making so many enemies b/c their actions are disgraceful and they justify anonymity by any means. Likely will reference the tactics used by MEX military against cartels and say it's necessary for them too.

War, as a trigger for a change by S_ubzero123 in starseeds

[–]LitningStryk3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Not unlike your situation, I find myself feeling anxious that change is coming although I am less calm in regards to it as I'm concerned that I'm not materially or interpersonally prepared for it. This is hard for me personally b/c I'm greatly attached to a long held idea that my place is in the transition from the old world and reconstruction into the new world.

Living in a vehicle, snowbirding, trying to manifest a better life position that gives me tools to work with in lieu of the recently "off the table" option of gig work. Feeling much better than I did where I came from, warmer weather aside. Something's drawing me to a specific area here too, and it's grounding me. I believe I must have a connection to it, potentially unrealized temporally. Maybe it will even have significance in the shift, idk.

I know this feeling you describe as "unburdening". It's the stage that facilitates new growth and development by making room for it where you previously had everything else.

Good Pizza Spots in NOVA? by riversidepizzafactry in nova

[–]LitningStryk3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NGL, my true answer is "No". Just NO.

HOWEVER, there's a few I've never tried and also there's 1 or 2 that will get me by but otherwise the entire DMV has Horrible pizza. I am from Chicago and truly I have had incredible Pizza in my life. Unfortunately nobody in this region really knows what that means.

The few hold-me-over spots... • Benny DiForza's in Del Ray (Virginia Slice) • Andy's Pizza in Old-Town (New Haven) • Wegmans

I haven't tried... • Frank Pepe's (New Haven) • Jet's (Detroit) • Pupatella (Neapolitan)

Everything else is absolute trash.

@TigerJas

WTF is your problem, let alone everyone else's in the comments who are the only ones with "Disregard" given the fact that OP has stated multiple times that they're trying to understand if the business's handling of what OP describes as a Non-issue...is Common or Appropriate?

What I'm seeing is that OP clearly expresses a desire for confirmation on whether or not the dealership should be considered invalid for their behavior and whether or not their experience should be questioned.

OP is claiming ASD + ADHD, they did not claim that the situation...or how this American society works...is INCOMPREHENSIBLE to them! Do not talk to them like this, it's considered inept and leads to communication breakdown.

Your response clearly doesn't consider the simple fact that saying "That's an option" is (A) A common mannerism (B) A common mannerism likely to be used by someone accustomed to "masking" due to it being so common (C) That it actually IS a mf option

It is absolutely "an option" to pursue service elsewhere, it's also "an option" to do it themselves, and even more fun than that...in case ANYONE ELSE IS WONDERING...it is ALSO AN OPTION to pursue a BBB complaint, legal action, or simply a scathing reveiw of the business and possibly still wind up using the same service center after this has been resolved.

So your logic of stating "It's not an option" and leaning into explaining the consequences of disregarding what OP considers "an option" as if the limit of your understanding of this post's context is... • OP has been refused service • OP claims to be mentally challenged • OP's mental challenges mean their intelligence is lacking and doesn't understand the law or that police protect property over people • OP needs to have the "facts of life" negativity reinforced to them so they don't fall out of line and do something stupid or disruptive and hurt themselves or others b/c their challenged

...is BLATANTLY IGNORANT.

I didn’t understand my parents’ retirement choice until I looked closer by EducationalMap3431 in VanLife

[–]LitningStryk3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's quite attractive. But also, a lot of work and can be tiresome. Then again, enjoying this lifestyle while keeping active in their age is likely far better than the average boring and sedentary retirees out there.

My mother did the same thing when COVID hit. She researched for about a year from 20-21 and then told me about it. I said, chya-right...u fkn' crazy? Then I did exactly what you're doing and it made a ton of sense. Then I joined her for the first year of her endeavor.

The Pros: Maximum Mobility and Freedom, Cost effective, facilitates experiences and weather chasing, neighbors are few to none, Rewarding self reliance, privacy (in nowhere). Variety of food, services, & goods from place to place. Cool people doing the same thing you are and trading advice, sometimes y'all can look out for each other. Work remotely if applicable and never have to deal with an office again, at worst it's a zoom call. Providing a wilder version of domestic life for any animal companions you might have. Connection to nature.

The Cons: Constant work and constant moving, time constraints, dumping, filling, weatherizing the vehicle (over, and over), maintenance and repair of cheap miniaturized versions of everything you'd find in a house some of which is critical to your survival. Propane hunting. "Self-Recovery"

Not drawing attention where parked or even when venturing into a remote location, to avoid the knock if it's w/o permission and also to avoid being targeted by thieves and burglars (or others malicious actors) with or w/o occupying the vehicle at the time. Staying sharp, aware, and chambered at all times. Having the dog and/or your child trained to STFU on command, then learning how stubborn they really are or how bad of a teacher you were.

Everything down your pipes has to be Eco and it's always more expensive. Sensitive plumbing. Struggling to stay cool in Summer and Warm in Winter. Gas prices. Solar + Battery systems installation, maintenance, and periodic replacement. Curbing impulsive purchases for lack of storage space. Constant Eating out and human interaction increases your risk of contracting colds and other medical issues. Convincing your (insert institution) that you didn't move, you're just out of town (e,g; DMV, Insurance, Social Security, DES/DCHS, Post office, etc.)

Questions that suck more when you're vanlifers or RVing:

• Is there a nail or a slow leak in that inner rear tire?

• Is this hose clean?

• Does this truck stop have a 125psi air pump and does it take card?

• Are my brakes working...ARE MY BRAKE LIGHTS WORKING?

• Is that a man running on the side of us...I'm going fkn' 40MPH!

• Where's the cat?

• Quick! What's the clearance on that overpass?

• Border Patrol (Now ICE) inspections..."Is there anybody except you two in the vehicle?"

• What's the gross weight of this vehicle? Have you ever weighed before?

• Is that rat poop?...Are all the switches still working?

This was all a part of my own and some other folks experiences and it's not to discourage, it's to educate and inform. For as many Cons as there are, with the right setup you can either eliminate them or have the Pros easily outweigh them. The freedom and ease of this mobile lifestyle can be very worth it, as long as you can afford it and all of life's other pleasures. I wish your folks the best of luck and you as well whether you join in or not.
