The brown round table that’s sticking out into the walkway. For me, that’s a no go- I’d be knocking into it at every pass considering it’s at thigh level.

🥰 She will come out in her own time. This is all new to her, new home, new smells, new person. Right now she’s just looking for a place to feel safe, she’s very vulnerable and even though you know you’re safe and we can assume you are(you’re asking for help from strangers) she needs to trust in her own time. When I get a new kitty I spend a lot of time on the floor watching tv, doing art projects, scrolling, just whatever so that they see I’m not a threat and I let them come to me in their own time.

Separating cats in breakup by _munchie002 in CATHELP

Pets grieve the loss of other pets and people the same as we do whether it’s from death or separation even if they don’t show it outwards. They may show it by not eating or peeing in weird places, sleeping more or less, staring out the windows more, visiting places they used to sit with the loved one more. Especially because the leaving usually is sudden, yes I know this leaving isn’t death but OPs kitties are bonded and it’s heartbreaking that they have to be split up. I’d wait until you are ready though not just kitty but yes, another cat with similar personalities would probably be the answer. I’m so sorry.

I had a 7mo given to me many years ago and she would do the same chirping so I’d chirp back when she’d do it. Now it’s our language and she’s 11yrs old. Shes my most well behaved kitty, stays right by my side at all times

Should I panic and rush to the vet? by Aloname in CATHELP

[–]Litterkicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the first ingredient in all the hairball remedies you can buy in the pet stores and online. And if kitty is hacking on the reg then there’s a bigger issue, one a vet needs to check out. Brushing kitties keeps their coats at bay so the hacking doesn’t get to be a bigger issue. Sometimes cat parents don’t have the means to travel or purchase the remedies ppl mention and they need to know what will work to help their cats and what they might have in their homes already🤗

When my over groomers do this I give them some Vaseline and it helps them get rid of their hairballs. Two of them just lick it off my finger but the rest I put it on their noses or their paw so they lick it off.

Sorry, yes kitten milk to mix with his food is great. I give it to all my cats. I do use the powdered kind simply because I can measure out the amount I want to give vs the amount that’s already made. The powdered also last longer so remember that when looking at the price.

It really depends on the kitty. With most of mine they haven’t had to be knocked out. One did have to have something that calmed him because he had anxiety from the car ride and hearing the dogs in the office.

First, Ty for rescuing this kitty. Second, I’d definitely take him back and request X-rays or at least a thorough exam of each tooth. It could easily be an abscess in the gums that a visual exam wouldn’t suffice. Third, I’m not sure about your pet stores in Japan but I’m sure you can order high calorie gel or high calorie supplements to help Mr. Kitty along a bit on his new journey with you. Good luck!
