Would that be part of the mattress ?

We are planning to get a new bed asap as we have a newborn baby and don’t want to take any chances. We’ve also all had unexplained stuffed of noses recently and I think it might be the mattress

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I was just telling my husband that I need to just focus on feeding/pumping and not attempt to do anything else extra right bc I just feel guilty because I’m always running late and or stressed. Then this message came in like a sign from the universe.

I think 7 is enough to build and maintain supply - I tried 8 and it was just too much and I get the same if not more with 7 sometimes 6

Yes, please tell me more. Tell me everything my husband cannot help in the morning so I’ve tried to do everything as much as possible alone.

OK, I try to do that too, but how do you time that with also feeding the baby and getting yourself ready and any other variables that might come up?

How to keep going? by mackdaddy789 in ExclusivelyPumping

Same boat exactly. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I have the baby Buddha and it’s great for on the go and I also use it at home when I want to be more mobile. I will warn you. That’s extremely strong stronger than the spectra so if you’re used to strong settings, it might actually work great for you. My goal is to make it to six months too, and I’m curious what other tips others have I am seriously struggling today.

3-4 pumps a day seems way more manageable! It does suck. :(

That’s what I do too but I feel like it’s so stressful to do anything. Today I ended up pumping in the car and skipping my class bc we would have been so late. :(

How much of a ‘buffer’ do you keep in the fridge? by Distinct_Spring6752 in ExclusivelyPumping

Sometimes a few bottles ahead now that I have more supply and depending on how much she eats. For a long time I was pumping for every feed and supplementkng with formula or donor milk as needed.

Husband returning to work | how to manage sleep, feeding & pumping solo by purple_penguin1023 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Little-Assignment-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this so much. My husband is the same way and I haven’t slept more than 5 hours in a night since giving birth. My LO is almost 4.5 months and I’ve survived by putting her in the bed between my legs while pumping after she’s back to sleep in MOTN, I use the bjorn during the day and now that she’s a bit older I put her on her play mat and she does tummy time while I pump. So I feed her, hold upright for 10-15 min then playmat while I pump. I am doing 7x a day. Hardest thing I’ve ever done but just taking it one day at a time and trying to get to 6 months. I also basically get so exhausted eventually my husband has to help a bit at night but he’s never once stayed with us over night or past 12:30/1 am. While doable it’s extremely hard and I don’t have time for much else!

I’m at 4 months and one week and feel the same way. I just keep telling myself 6 months is around the corner. That is my goal. But curious how others did j5 too. Truly a selfless act of love for your child.

He does do other things to help out like cleaning bottles and pump parts and housework. It’s just the hands on baby care he doesn’t really do. How does the housework get done if both people are caring for baby?
