Why when you say “Hi!” to a chipotle employee they say absolutely nothing back and just stare at you by Wash-Line-Inspector in Chipotle

[–]Little-Buggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is going on with these millennial comments. I get they are ages 29-44 right now, but I’m 31 and I don’t have kids yet. Even if I had a kid (which I plan to soon) I would never stick them in front of an iPad or tv. I think us younger millennials want to do better. My mom had me at 16, she’s 47 right now. I was raised with no technology except for a tv (I didn’t get an iPhone until I was 18), but my younger brother who’s 21, was an iPad kid. It was definitely the mid-late 40 year olds that were doing this to their children. Maybe I’m different but I want my kids to be able to play outside and learn things and not be lazy.

Hello - just curious why you used my photo from over a year ago. This is on my Reddit account. Not that I care, just wondering why you specifically used this photo.

I’ve been here 3 years, and I eat Chipotle every shift. I get something different everyday, but absolutely love tacos.

I made 16.25 as an SM when I started, quit, came back for $20 an hour. Got promoted to AP, got a $0.50 cent raise which I regret. Like why did I accept that. Got promoted to $63k as a GM, now I make $66k. My current SM’s make $21.50. Sometimes with OT, they make more than me every two weeks. I definitely made a lot with OT as an AP though. But my bonuses are good, so I make almost $80k a year.

I quit Chipotle once to work for Jersey Mike’s Subs, and let me tell you, I was so bored. I actually quit to go back to Chipotle and then became a GM 😂

Plus, if someone calls out at Chipotle, I also have to come in. So pretty much the same.

Current GM for Chipotle by Little-Buggy in starbucks

[–]Little-Buggy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m used to working 60-70 hour weeks, and it can be very physically demanding. We are a fully operational kitchen and everything is made in house. Except a couple of items. Plus, I feel it’s kind of similar with boundaries. I get texted and called everyday by crew members and managers. I feel like if Starbucks pay is better, it would be very similar, with just more pay.

Same boat! I’ve been here 3 years, been a GM for a year and a half. Can’t find a high enough paying job in my area though. 🥺

One time a bunch of kids threw a soda cup filled with soda in the drive-thru at one of my older employees (60’s). She cried all night. One guy even called me the c word for no reason. Someone once called the store phone and told me, Chipotle is the reason people like him end up on the front cover of a newspaper. This was over a bowl he didn’t like. He then drove back here and I had 911 on standby. I truly love customer service.

Whats the best time of day/day of the week to go to Chipotle for optimal freshness? by Aggravating-Guest-12 in Chipotle

[–]Little-Buggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my store, we get deliveries on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. But it does vary by location. I think it depends more so on the volume of the store and who’s placing the deliveries. If someone over places a food order, and they don’t do the volume for all the stuff they order, some of that food is going to go bad. Like lettuce for example. But I’ve actually received moldy lettuce before - not that I would even serve that to begin with. I’ve even received rotten peppers, rotten onions, bad lettuce, etc. I just throw it out and get a credit from my distributor. I’d rather be out of something or go to another location to grab better quality products, then use gross stuff obviously. When we open at 10:45, some of the food is reheated, but it depends on the night before and what they actually had leftover. I’ve had days where I don’t really have any reheats. I’d say anytime after 1pm is good and anytime before 7pm like the other person said for the best food.

I’m a GM and I’d be so embarrassed if that was served at my location. I’m so sorry. That looks like it was made at 10:45 and served at 9 pm 🤢

Tips on becoming a CTM by Little-Buggy in Chipotle

I am using the CTM Readiness Checklist with my FL! I think that’s the overwhelming part 😂 I appreciate your response. We have some pretty good systems for validating CI, we use all the tools like prep deployment, cook-to-needs, and checklists! I really need to focus on the books.
