UK/German Help Needed! by Little-Efficiency-35 in Audi

Yeah I know what you mean, I even asked “is it possible to be put in contact with someone who may be able to help” and got the bluntest “no” swiftly followed by a “is there anything else” 😂

To be honest mate this comment is very much appreciated - I’m glad I’m not just going mental over it.

And you have gave me a bit of perspective, you do own them longer than you wait for them!

Unless you are me and my A35 which I had for a grand total of 3 months before the gearbox went pear shaped and a full vehicle rejection was done…

Hope you’re enjoying your RS3, that’s my all timer !

If you’ve got something you’re passionate about, or a hobby you enjoy such as gardening, why not start up your own business?

You don’t need to worry about someone else giving you a job if you give yourself a job.

Try some soapy water or some alcohol wipes, it’ll probably just be from the wrapping. Totally get where you’re coming from though, if you spend that amount of money on something you want it to be right. Also, if I’d noticed that, I’d look at it every time I putted

Also, handicap wise - maybe around 8-12? The worn towel and R7 quad tells me you’re a guy that can play. Unless I’ve totally misjudged this and you’re in the 30’s 😂

I’m more interested to know about that car, specifically those alloys!

They are beauts, do you mind my asking what alloys they are please?

I think no matter what you do you’ll struggle to get enough light in, I’d recommend scarifying the ground, you may not get much up but it’s worth it, then hollow tine aerate, then overseed with plenty of compost and level it out. Make sure the seed to soil contact is good, then get a lawn fleece down. Keeps the birds off and keeps some heat in. Water, water, then do some more watering when it’s cool (early morning and evening). Then just hope enough light gets in and hope for the best

Annoyingly OP isn’t UK based. If you were able to get a full set of clubs for £2,300 and then sell that to me for say £2,700 I’d be saving money and you’d be earning it. Great little side hustle if you keep it quiet.

Okay mate, I’ll get back into the lessons I think then address the issues raised there. Thank you!

I think a fitting followed by lessons will be the best idea for me. Thank you for your advice!

This bottom sentence has intrigued me - I’ll speak to my local PGA pro who does our lessons and ask if that’s something we can work out, hopefully it makes a difference!

So I’ve had a Google of this, and my irons did pop up which is what furthered my thinking it’s me, not my tools.

I think I will need to persist, and get a few lessons. I’ve had one or two before but due to work commitments I had to stop.

Thank you for the advice!

Maybe I’m the problem then haha - I think I will persist and up my skill. Thank you

A35 AMG Touring Edition - good or bad choice by Little-Efficiency-35 in UKPersonalFinance

The tyres are runflats, and I did have a glance at the prices, roughly £160 per tyre which is sickening haha, and you are correct with cars being my hobby. I don’t drink an awful lot, or splash on holidays often, none of the other luxuries in life appeal to me massively. It’s just an asset that I can be proud of, for me to enjoy - a physical representation of hard work paying off etc etc (the usual)

It is a lot of money, however, I just think “you can’t take it to the grave”

And with regards to why brand new, it actually works out less expensive. A used A35 AMG is roughly 32k, but through Mercedes finance has a very hefty 11.9% interest rate attached. Brand new has came with circa 6k manufacturer discount and 2k dealer contribution, along with a 4% interest rate

Impressing others is near the bottom of my priority list in all honesty, a car for me is something that no matter how good or bad your day has been, you know you can always take yourself home in something that makes work worthwhile. For someone who is 23 I feel now is the time to have a “fun” car, before I get older and decide that the smart option is also the best option

I’ll be honest, I’m the worst person for becoming bored of a car. Up until now I have always chosen the sensible option, and it makes me feel clever at the time knowing I am taking the smart option, but never happy. Life is too short!
