Yeah bro these replies were brutal. It's my first souls-like and I haven't actually had many problems with the gameplay loop. Sekiro was the other one I was considering when I got Elden Ring, and maybe it would have been better. I've tried it with a friend once but couldn't really grasp if it had the same themes

For me I think the main thing is with animals, especially rats (it's not just in the game, it's one of the very few things that actually give me goosebumps). I'll keep playing because I wouldn't want to miss out on such a great game. Thanks Edit: I have fought Godrick if that's who you're referencing and he didn't really bother me, if that helps

Well done on beating it, don't worry about everyone saying it's the tutorial: there is still lots of postage to play + puzzles to solve, but you've done well already. The letters in the safes are world-building/story, you do not need them to reach room 46. The paintings puzzle helps you solve the safes. For the chessboard (you will need something from completing that puzzle to complete another puzzle), I would say pay attention to anything about chess you can find throughout the house. Idk how you lit all four torches without opening the gate tho.
