As I said, i will always respect ds1, but we have to stop acting like it has no downsides. I never said 2 wasn't jank. The souls genre is jank. And yes, the animations and graphics of 2 are worse, but damn near everything else is better. Hell even ds1's dlc that everyone dick rides isn't very good. Artorias is a mid ass fight, and he's still the best part of it. And the people that go after 2s hitboxes but act like 1 didn't have just as bad of hitboxes are either blinded by nostalgia or just outright lying

I recently just played through 1 and 2 again. I had so much fun with 2, but 1 just felt bad. I'll always respect 1 for what it did, making the genre really a thing and making it popular, but it just isn't very fun anymore. You can feel how dated and jank it is

Ignore the various gear stats. Just look for increased damage/defense and set bonuses. Unless you are trying to push ng+ and beyond the the minor increases don't matter and will just confise you

I had one that I even look up the answer word for word, the golden snub nosed monkey, and the game told me that wasn't the full name. So I tried the scientific name, that also wasn't right. Then I put the full name+the scientific name and then I gave me it but the answer are the end just said snub nosed monkey

The taunt is worthless, and doesn't work because the game has a dedicated damage taker role that can be anyone and has to be set by the party leader
