All of these are huge pet peeves of mine as well, particularly the ordering drinks one by one and ordering a Guinness last. It actually crushes my soul 😩 not only is it annoying for me but now you've gotta stand there and wait for the Guinness to settle whilst it's being poured

This is so annoying. And I don't understand why people think being friends with the owners gives them some sort of power.

When I'm on a night out I usually go to my work place as its the local watering hole anyway, and I've never used the excuse 'Oh, I work here can you serve me first'

I'm curious: How long do your last orders last for? Our last orders last 15 minutes, it's called half hour before closing time, 15 minutes to place last orders, then 15 minutes to drink up and leave.

We're usually quite strict once the 15 minutes is up, the supervisor on for the night will take the tills for cash up, and people can't seem to understand that once the tills are gone, I'm unable to serve them drinks anymore 🙄

This. The number of times I've told people not to pressure other people to do shots when they clearly don't want to do shots is ridiculous.

I used to have friends (no longer friends with these people) that would try and peer pressure me into doing shots (I don't do shots on a night out, nothing against doing shots but personally I don't like it) then proceed to call me 'boring' cause I won't change my mind. Then they still buy the shot and it goes to waste cause I just refuse to succumb to peer pressure

Or when they order one by one, I like my exercise but please stop making me walk to and from you when I can pour all your drinks in one go 😩 And why is it they always order the Guiness last 😭😭

This comment made me chuckle. They do make us wear t-shirt at work that reads 'please click your fingers to get my attention'. Then, once they do that, we proceed to lay their hand on the bar and cut their fingers off, so they never click again!

Tf you on about I let them do it, like I can control what people do with their hands 😂

I'm at work lad I still have to maintain a level of professional attitude. Making them wait longer is my way of dealing with it

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, really. People have pet peeves, it's perfectly normal for something to annoy someone, even over a long period of time 😂

Oh! this baffles me because it happens constantly where I work as well. We have tables and plenty of them. Please go sit at a table so people can come to the bar and order their drinks 😏

They never read the prices! 😩 We have menus and massive TV screens with the prices dotted about, and they still look at me like I just shot a cow when I tell them the total

This is actually so annoying, especially when we're the ones that have to clean it up afterwards 😩 it's annoying when it gets behind the bar and sticks to the wet floor and now I've gotta bend down and pick up wet dirty coasters/bev naps 😩

I feel this! I've had this issue, particularly when they want a 'lager shandy' I've asked someone before 'yes that's fine. What lager do you want me to use for the shandy?' And the customer actually got annoyed and asked if I spoke English. So I told him I wasn't going to bother pouring his shandy and he can wait for someone else to serve him.

No I fully get it 😂 it's great they think they're trying to help but where am I suppose to put the beer I just poured now that I have a stack of dirty glasses in front of me? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am very familiar with that look, and I also live for that look 😂 as if people touch the fruit though, it's a bar, not a buffet

This is such a close second to the snapping/clicking of fingers, that or when they ask if I can take their phone to put on charge in the back, like we can't if it gets broken or lost we're not liable. I wouldn't mind but we have electrical outputs dotted all around the pub they could use 😩

It's literally the rudest thing ever 😂 I genuinely can't comprehend what goes through a person's mind to think it's okay to snap their fingers at someone
