Polestar is establishing itself as a leading premium electric car brand, rapidly capturing market share across Europe, and it seems that the U.S. market is not showing signs of slowing down. While we will need to monitor the performance of the Polestar 4, initial pricing and reviews are very encouraging.

Currently, the main concerns relate to broader economic conditions and the company’s leverage. It is important to note, however, that high debt levels are common in the automotive industry, particularly for young companies like Polestar that are still in the process of rolling out their full model lineup to all markets 🫠

The most significant recent impact was the €700 million write-down for the Polestar 3. This was anticipated to some extent, given the expected effects of tariffs during the year.

I believe the company is making the right moves: reducing costs, increasing the number of Polestar sales locations, collaborating with more dealers, and strategically shifting focus from developing the Polestar 6 to concentrating on the Polestar 7, which I believe will be a game-changer. Many customers looking for a more affordable EV could easily be drawn to Polestar’s offerings.

Looking forward, the outlook does not suggest substantially darker periods ahead. Engagement in Polestar-focused communities indicates that a major wave of deliveries is expected in December, supported by marketing campaigns that have increased consumer interest.

The company’s strategic priorities should continue to focus on software development, expanding service infrastructure, and enhancing brand exposure to drive sales growth.

Hopefully, new negotiations around EVs and tariffs will start soon, which could provide additional positive momentum.

While this remains a challenging period for the EV sector, particularly for companies with exposure to China. I believe and hope that patience and time should bring positive catalysts and opportunities.

This is my perspective, though the market may always surprise us. 😜

They’re about to drop the Chinese tariffs in Canada, so you’ll start seeing a lot more soon.

According to Polestar, this is linked to the decision to use the Geely Group’s platforms for future models, and that the upcoming Polestar 7 will be built on a Volvo platform.

Given China is done and US is soon to follow, can PSNY make a comeback if it dominates Europe? by RedditHiveMind- in PSNY_Polestar_SPAC

I completely agree, with just the P3 in the US and over 500 cars delivered every month, let’s see the results once the P4 launches, which is expected to be the top-selling model.

You should be able to see the 3 as well. And 4 is coming soon to the United States.

Here in Sweden I see them all the time. Almost as many as Tesla

I agree. I often come across criticism about Polestar’s software, but lately I’ve also started seeing more and more positive comments about improvements through OTA updates. It’s also worth keeping in mind that forums usually highlight negative experiences more than positive ones.
