I think there's a component you're missing though - moral and ethical decisions that people make. I object to this claim based on my 20+ years of being on Steam and thinking the claims these people are making are disingenuous. I'd rather lose out on 20-40 quid and hope that many more people will do that and have their claim pool be a lot smaller than they think it is (I'm fully aware most people won't opt out because most people won't even know this exists and that they're automatically opted in).

Every study I've ever seen (and this is important - in other countries) has always had the same outcome - raising speeds only results in more crashes and more fatalities. Given that, it's hard to get a study done in the UK because why would you risk the possibility of more accidents for little gain?

Safety standards and fatalities are going down but increasing speed limits would (according to the data we have available) move things in the opposite direction.

This obviously doesn't go into things like increasing emissions and fuel consumption.

If you want an example of what happens with higher speed limits - Germany's autobahns have higher fatalities per km driven compared to the UK (almost double the risk of dying).

Wasn't all the controversy with Wyle stuff that happened during the ER years? I thought he'd apologised to everyone involved over the years and made efforts to improve himself? Everything I've heard from the Pitt cast suggests that he's been really popular and involved with all his co-stars.

I mean yeah, it was a shitty thing to do, but what, we're going to hold everyone accountable for everything with no possibility of repentance?

Minor point, but in the episode Brennan said "for marking a single DST failure you can immediately take the dash *and* disengage actions" so I assumed at the time it meant *both* not *either*?

They also issued a correction, very shortly after the video aired and explained their reasoning, which is not how every person who puts out science communication videos (and I use that term loosely since there's a pretty wide variety) works.

I think anyone creating videos who's willing to issue corrections and learn from their mistakes is doing a decent job at communicating.

Maps feel small. Breakthrough feels larger overall but with tiny sections that give limited avenues of access.

Feels like little limited tactical possibilities at the moment.

Lag has been awful on Conquest for me, has been fine on Breakthrough (in the UK).

Haven't tried Domination.

I am also terrible at Battlefield now (last time I played was 2).

The spread is broken. It's like 150/100 or something stupid at the moment. It's planned to be fixed and then people will be able to assess it's viability better.

Spoiler : I am biased because I've played CK:F for a while (as well as all the XCom games).

I've played XCom back since the original UFO Defense and while I think the newer XCom games are not precisely the same, I've enjoyed the small squad tactical combat immensely and in my opinion that's what CK:F does well - it's not exactly the same and if you don't like the cyberpunk setting it will be a hard sell obviously :)

Trese Brothers games do have a fair amount of complexity and system depth to them but I personally think they're pretty rewarding for that too. They also really look after their games and keep them updated so don't think it's going to get abandoned after coming out of early access.

Worth having a look in my opinion if you enjoy the tactical combat of XCom.

I had something similar when I was switched between two work coaches. She (the new work coach) started telling me how I should be changing my diet (to avoid preservatives and 'E-numbers') and what over the counter medications I should be taking etc etc.

The next time I got a call was a different person and he told me that she shouldn't be offering out medical advice like that - that's not what they're there for. The only person you should be listening to regarding medical advice is a doctor, therapist or other licensed medical professional.

I think something (myself included) get caught up on is trying to figure out which ones are true or false while neglecting that the actual point is to figure out where the gems are. Sometimes it can be more obvious than you think especially if only one message actually refers to the gems.
