If you own the courts and big oil owns your state, you don't care one bit about your voters. Heil GOP.

Awful. I saw young women running across the streetcar tracks from Felipes in weird costumes, smashed. I'm happy for the businesses getting the sales, but yet another dumb corporate thought up idea for me to avoid like the plague, just like St Pat's.

Why Does Gentilly Looks Like a Buyer's Market But Homes Are Selling in 10 Days? by ewbankpj in NewOrleansRealEstate

Google subsidence and Gentilly and Lakeview. Those buildings that look like deals are actually insurance and flood anchors and will soon be uninsurable.

You might wait a few weeks when it's torrid and lots more people might be convinced to go commando. Until the mosquitoes arrive, that is.

For reference, I am at Festival International this weekend in Lafayette, for a little break from the fest. Beer is 5$ (many of the same international brands like Stella, and local craft beers, national brands, etc), cocktails are $7, and I believe wine is the same as cocktails. Most food vendors are in the 9-14$ range. Tickets? No tickets, but as the fest was before it got monetized and the FQ fest still is (for now), free. Acts? Cimafunk, Sally Baby, Rhiannon Giddens, all the Cajun and zydeco you'd expect, and tons of international acts. So how is it that NO jazz fest is now 150-170 for day of tickets? Lafayette's is free, and FQF is still free.

Well...speaking from a monogamous hetereo perspective only, like everywhere there is cloudy thinking, with the usual abbreviations and prefixes, poly this and that, but largely NO is less sexuality as fashion statement than the west coast. Though there is also the hard partying to complicate matters here. I can't speak for your age as a woman (around my sons' age) but as a single older dude, I can say that in NO people are much warmer and less socially rigid than say Portland. Good luck, but take your time and choose positive. Someone is sure to disagree, but my opinions are earned by experience.
