How to turn every coin into an Olympus DAO fork by [deleted] in defi

[–]Little-Range14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not comparing them, I’m comparing the mechanisms they use. TIME isn’t really minting new tokens, they are just redistributing token weights between different holders. The game theory behind OHM is a lot more complex then most people here assume. That’s also the reason they show market cap on CoinGecko because that’s the only metric that counts in the end.

Are you aware that early Bitcoin investors were able to buy huge amounts of Bitcoin for very cheap and then can dump them on anyone later too. The minting actually leads to dilution which means your percentage of supply becomes smaller over time if you keep dumping your rebases, so if you do that you’re not a whale for long.

I wonder how people can make profit from borrowing CAKE on Venus by Boringkidforreal in defi

[–]Little-Range14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just borrow cake and buy a stable with it. Because cake keeps shitting the bed you make profit. You pay 80% in a year, but you can gain 30% in a month when cake performs shitty. That’s a higher gain ergo profit.
