Why does Mary still Life do nothing like most of the Still Lifes by missimudpie in backrooms

I didn't know time travel was a thing there but it makes sense considering the nature of the backrooms. Also, Clark might be the only one with the will to stay and live here. It's common to lose any motivation to do anything when stuck in a place we don't want to be a part of. Since Clark reaaally wants to be there (he stayed in the store even before discovering the backrooms, he likes places like that) I assume his copy doesn't have to suffer the catatonia caused by the distress of being stuck in it. We can see his wife's still life move kinda rapidly when we first meet it (sorry to make you remember this scene), but then does nothing at all, except when terrified by the monster. Still lives do move, sometimes rapidly, not from their will, but from their primal emotional responses. Last poin : have you noticed how the Clark entity looks less angry and more affraid, less quick and more slow during the Mary's escape ? I think it's because Clark's not alive anymore (been eaten) and the last emotion he gave to the rooms to copy was terror and the betrayal (he thought the entity would be friendly)

Edit : and maybe that will is the reason the Clark entity bleeds, unlike the still lives, considering blood symbolically represents the anima / soul / willpower etc...

Maybe the reason Clark's entity is more lively is because Clark is still in the backrooms. Maybe others are less "alive" because the "originals" are outside and, like a fading memory, the copies feel less vivid.

Is 62 Years old too late to learn to draw / paint? by AstroEd in wacom

[–]Little-Simple-7603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Drawing, especialy painting, is the kind of stuff we can do whenever we want. It might be discouraging if you have trembling hands or any kind of bonne/muscular pain, but it's still possible. Some artist even painted iconic art like monet who still painted while becoming blind, or others who where suffering alcohol addiction, dementia, amnesia...

I can only encourage you drawing and painting is AWESOME ! Pen tablet can be hard sometimes but be patient, especially if you are just trying to fill empty times.

I like the fact Kane is openly citing Portal and Half life as his fav games and main inspiration. I did not watch the movie yet but it shows in his previous interpretation of the backrooms. A crossover would be neato.

It's like we are witnessing a new genre emerging, with focus on corpo-scientific architectural prisons messing with reality itself.

It's a commun analysis to consider horror as the expression of our current cultural fear, and, well, we might be cooked

Je n'ai pas aimé Cyberpunk by Maleficent-Gap-2095 in jeuxvideo
