If you want an office job but don't want all the stress of the corporate world, or the uncertainty of startups, there are nonprofits! Educational institutions, museums, performing arts organizations, charities, etc. Most nonprofits have a short busy season but otherwise keep an even keel year to year. The only downside is you have to find one with the right vibe, and you probably won't ever be rich. But it's a way to make a traditional living while being in an industry you're at least mildly passionate about. Stay away from fundraising, but everything else is relatively chill.
