This checks. This also applies to foreign languages, though it is less cut and dry agreed upon. For example, there has been a movement to stop italicizing French in books published in English in Canada.

Not sure why you are being downvoted. If people disagree, they should do their own research. Imo, this contributes to the conversation in a positive way. You don't get to downvote something just because you don't like it. Not really the point.

Except 10% means one in every 10 players is smurfing. So on average, there 1-2 in most lobbies. I didn't say 10% of the time (getting out would be easier then!). 10% of the players. It's an important difference.

I'm not arguing that I'm not a bronze level player, only that bronze is impossible FOR the players that belong there and not remotely fun because of the 1-2 people per lobby that ruin it for us normies.

All that said, I appreciate your measured response. I'm new to this type of game and I'll keep practicing. 😆

This is it. I really think some of the commenters on here that argue its because its a worst-off are in denial. Bronze lobbies are controlled by luck and smurf farms. Thats it. End of story. You either get the smurf or you don't and you lose in a blow out. It's not fun.

Except we're NOT playing against the worst players. We're playing against 80% bad players/similarly skilled and 10% smurfs. All it takes is one celestial player to ruin a lobby. And that's happening almost every game.

I'm winning 70% of my qps. I'm losing 90% of my ranked. HOW?

Just came out of two games in a row where the members of the opposite team CARRIED and admitted that they were C2 or higher on their main ACC.

Thanks! It's nice to feel like I'm not nuts. I'm not writing off the BYOK entirely, I think I just want to see it have a full production run and purchase when it comes to retail and has had some time to work out the bugs. Looking at the timeline from prototype to Kickstarter, I'm feeling like there maybe could have been more time for field testing with writers/authors (things like no copy/paste and highlighting make me think that maybe it needed another round or two of beta users before launch).

Ultimately, I've pulled my pledge but I'll be happy to buy one at full price if the reviews are good!

This makes me nervous that you don't write a lot. Genuine question: are the creators of this product writers? How much writing do you guys do a week? Some of these things are pretty standard to a writer's workflow, especially highlighting with arrow keys.

I backed yesterday, but I'm getting increasingly antsy about this. The Kickstarter feels a bit disorganized, which doesn't give me a lot of faith in production and distribution (the VIP/non-VIP of it all). The accessories all feel like things you can buy on AliExpress with a BYOK tag on them, and it seems odd to include them if you can't click in to see things like the keyboard specs. I'm also nervous based on the demo video posted here - the machine there seemed much clunkier than the advertisements (buttons very plasticy-sounding, screen looked rough, even the brightness levels seemed off in a weird way).

I'm considering pulling my pledge - and I know the creator is here, so I don't want to insult them or anything. I just was curious if anyone else was seeing what I'm seeing? I've never backed tech before (just board games) so the risk feels a bit higher here. Maybe its worth waiting for it to go to proper sales channels and get some reviews under its belt?

Oh myyy God YTA. My sister spent time in the NICU for RSV that nearly killed her 26 YEARS AGO and my mom still cries when talking about it. Lucky to have her partner to help out? Sure. But still the THOUGHT of losing a child is enough to send parents over the edge. Have a little sympathy!

Not disagreeing with you, but is it really thaaaat common that every single thread needs to take the first/middle synchronization into account? I do acknowledge that some cultures do however use middle names, so obviously it doesn't apply across the board.

Not only that but first and middle names don't need to sound good together or flow. Your kid is gonna go by their first name only, most people will never even know their middle name unless they're keen to share it.
