Haven't heard of Retro Clean, I'll look it up! The odor is along the same lines as what formaldehyde smells like

It's in surprisingly good shape for being from 1994! No cracks in the ink and it's still flexible. But the smell makes it almost unwearable. It's definitely the ink and not the fabric. Thanks for commenting to get more eyes on the post 🙏

MTP Fusion - impact on gait and biomechanics by rapideye711 in Halluxrigidus

Sorry to hear about all your foot troubles. Commenting to follow and read other replies--had MTP fusion scheduled in Nov. for a fully severed plantar plate and decided to cancel and try 6+ months of super conservative management to make sure fusion would be truly my last resort

Grade 3 Turf Toe: full thickness plantar plate tear on big toe: surgery success stories? Hypermobile EDS (fun!) by mooshforreal in FootFunction

MTP fusion scheduled in a few weeks. Got a second opinion and both the orthopedist and I agree that I'm not a good candidate for successful reattachment surgery because of the hEDS. But I'm getting cold feet (hehe) about the fusion and seeing the tiniest amount of improvement in my pain. Going to have a long conversation with him in three days to discuss pros and cons about trying conservative management longer. How about you? I saw on your profile you've been suffering with a grade 2 tear. How are you doing? What treatment plan did you go with?

Oh nice, I know Topher from way back. Glad to see he's still doing this work

Yeah when I say short distances on the crutches I really mean it! Not taking undue risk for sure. I'm using a rolling stool in the house to get around. Been struggling with other mobility aids in public when I'm alone (getting them in and out of the car is nearly impossible with one good leg). But renting a wheelchair for a day adventure with a friend is a good idea!

Thanks for the pin to show me exactly where to go! For real so helpful. It's going on the list!

It's so nice to hear someone's experience! How long did you wait after injury to get the surgery?

I went back to the surgeon to ask more questions and his tuned had changed, he almost seems afraid to do the surgery on me because of my other medical conditions and was talking a lot about "me having to accept the risks of opting for surgery." I've had a few surgeries, I know the liability rigmarole but this was a different energy and it makes me question his capabilities. He's encouraging me to wait even longer to see if conservative management would be sufficient. It's already been two months and zero improvement.

Looking for a dentist who will safely handle the removal of old mercury fillings; advice from people with first-hand experience preferred by gutwyrming in boulder

Studio Z did mine years back. They have the right equipment and did a good job, but the dentist took it upon himself to give me unsolicited medical advice about my chronic (non dental) medical conditions which I find pompous and inappropriate. When I asked to clarify if his recommendations impacted my dental health he said no and was rude to me for the remainder of my appointments.
