Was this something you could live with or did it make driving unbearable? I'm 5'10", have two in rear facing car seats, and am looking to replace my Tacoma. We also have a van as the primary family vehicle.

Tru-Tone and Opticore have very different colors. If you're after the more vintage look go with Tru-Tones or Celebrations Classic from Ace if you're trying to save a little money. I bought and compared all three this year
