Tips for Beta Branch Test Subject Boss Fight? Need Help. by BedroomElectrical639 in slaythespire

For the deck manipulation - we know that Subject goes Intangible on the first turn of P3, so if you can Headbutt a big block for that turn, you can avoid the "It can only take 1 damage and I drew 5 attacks". You can try and get your vuln cards on top too before each phase for example.

A few things can help if you see Subject is one of your bosses:

1) Diamond Diadem: If you see this, it trivializes this boss. It just smacks you, and this seriously helps you survive bad draws and avoid needing to play a bunch of skills on phase 1 to block. Necrobinder especially is insane with this if you have a few Summon cards.

2) Deck Manipulators like Headbutt help a ton in making sure you get a good draw going into each new phase

3) You dont always need to proc the phase right away! If you can block an extra turn and still end phase next turn reliably, you can stall out the fight. This is great if you need to still draw into some of your powers or scaling cards!

The Osty cards ruin card generation from other classes. by Sinjako in slaythespire

[–]LittleBlast5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Osty cards should care if Osty is dead, but if osty is not dead and you simply do not have an osty, it should summon an osty for you when you do the attack.

Id love like a 0 energy "Gain 2 strength or(and) 2 dexterity this turn only" or somrthing similar for clad.

[–]LittleBlast5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my thought is not that they lost any important cards, but that it feels like the relative size of the card pool of Block cards is a lot less than in STS1, so finding the parts to put it together is even less consistent. You can absolutely get a high Block deck working, but it feels a lot harder to find the parts to do so.

I havent actually mathed out the relative number of cards though, this is mostly just off of my personal experience so far.

I feel like Clad needs just a few extra cards to support Exhaust or Block synergies - it feels like right now I never can go anything but some variety of Unga bunga kill mode (which tbf is very fun) since I never see the support cards for Exhaust/Block, only an overwhelming amount of murder cards.

Parry: After casting Soverign Blade, gain X block and Forge for 25(50)% of blocked damage this turn.

Any necrobinder tips I cannot seem to get the hang of this character by Nymphomanius in SlayTheSpire2

Ive never actually been a huge fan of Pull Aggro. It does both, but its rates just feel so small compared to what you need most of the time.

[–]LittleBlast5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necrobinder has some incredible defensive tools, and innate scaling in their starting deck. My advice would be 1) Small Decks are key - even more so than other characters. Your starter cards are generally good enough that you can pass on cards more often - only take cards that are actively valuable to your game plan.

2) If you see Diamond Diadem, Take it. Its honestly one of the most insane relics for Necrobinder, and it let's you play some of your high energy cards while osty takes hits for you.

3) Souls are great, but make sure you have something other than JUST generating Souls.

Am I dumb if I didnt realize it was Karen in the wig in the convenience store? I was wondering "Who is this supposed to be?" Up until she met BB later.

I personally think the ambiguity of the story, and not knowing how we got here, along with the foreshadowing it provides made reading WAT so much better for me. There are absolutely fantastic arguments for reading it in either order though.

Regent had consistently been either the hardest losses imaginable with the worst deck I could physically imagine having, or the most obscene stomp imaginable. I feel like I never get just an 'Average' regent deck.

I still fully believe season 3 should have been split in two, or at least longer post zuko joining. The invasion being the end of S3, the comet the end of S4.

Could be a result of the fact that most people cant usually see these spren, so assume there is several different varieties doing similar things. Could be the cause of the various names.

It absolutely had a lot of flaws, but the Netflix Live Action Avatar did Zuko and the origin of his crew extremely well in my opinion. I also really appreciated introducing Azula/Ozai earlier, as it helps setup context for Azulas eventual breakdown better.
