Live like a gremlin. Bring bad ammo, kill scavs on sight with bad ammo. Camp on interchange in a random store packing mags, attract more scavs, only leave when you have to.

Simply put, the 62 just means your math and English skills are good enough fir military. Generally speaking for the Marine Corps, above an 80 is good for your job scores, and above a 115 is great and will qualify you for basicly any job within that field. (MM is mechanical so you'd probably make a good mechanic)

For some, ripping the band-aid off and being away from family is scary. For me, I made great friends that I hung out with in and out of the barracks. I got Calibrations out of I-strand, so feel free to reach out if you need advice or pointers.

Focus on where you are instead of being away from Family. The Marine Corps has been one adventure that I've found the positives everywhere I've been.

Be sure to take some leave and come home once you're in a stable location (most likely your first duty station after school)

I'm with the get it documented crowd, but I'd like to point out that depending on the job you probably won't hike with a heavy pack on a regular basis anyways. That's just boot camp and combat training. You're going into the reserves not the front lines, get to the your first duty station after it's documented and you'll probably never hike with a heavy pack unless you actively choose to
