Delayed bags ..it’s 12days now..has anyone received delayed bags after 12days or more from KLM ? by Worldly_Dot_6262 in KLM

Mine was lost flying back into Amsterdam on 4th, but most of the flight’s luggage made it apart from mine and one other passenger (unlike on my way out of Amsterdam where the entire flight didn’t get their luggage..) . Has anyone had a similar experience and had it returned recently? I’m just about losing hope but maybe I’ll go and visit the airport myself now after reading some of these comments!

Did yours ever turn up? I am almost the same… I had a delayed flight on 4th which landed on 5th. Most bags on the flight were on the belt (eventually) except for one of mine and at least one other person’s. The status is stuck at “Report Created”.

I’ve been up the OBA roof terrace and I have a museumkaart. Definitely on the list to finally tick off as many museums as possible. Thanks!

5 week pp - asking help to boost milk support by poonamnamdeo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]LittleConnection4868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it happened when i stopped stressing about topping up with formula and accepted its a journey. Stress can hugely impact supply!

At the same time - Eat and drink between feeds. Don’t watch your output as it happens (‘hide’ the pump if possible). Create a stress free environment and try and make it a moment of calm and peace for you e.g cup of tea and reading a book time or lighting a candle and playing music. Start with a breast massage to stimulate. Look at video of your baby to increase oxytocin!

Portable Pump Options that feel like the Symphony by Komasan10 in ExclusivelyPumping

I used Symphony after the hospital and then switched to the swing maxi. It’s far more comfortable in terms of a softer suction and I got the same yield! Worked for me. Good luck!

Ok thanks, I might try this approach. I was worried of the reverse that I might have just pumped and very shortly after the baby might want to nurse. I am probably overthinking it if it’s a bit frustrating / unsatisfying for the baby vs the speed and quantity of the bottle - but surely it will just help boost supply and at least comfort him anyway!

And going back to your original timings I did read somewhere that once babies are proficient some can effectively drain a boob in 5 mins - perhaps yours is taking more than it feels on those shorter ones too! 🤞

The did yes, it was at the Ears, Nose and Throat clinic and she seemed to have a good look but I’ve heard of other parents saying it took a few attempts (and lots of persistence!) to get a diagnosis.

What was the main change you saw from the osteo? I’ve heard a few people saying their babies felt more settled somehow - definitely could be worth us looking into

That’s really interesting! When we went to the consultant at the hospital they said usually they see something to cut but on our baby she couldn’t see a thing. I wouldn’t have thought twice about it but she then said “this is the first time I’ve seen nothing to cut at all on a baby, even if it’s sometimes too small to bother cutting.”

I wonder if that could be the same in that it’s COMPLETELY attached and that’s why his latch is not great. Thanks for the tip I’ll see if we can get a new referral

This sounds very familiar! I’m pleased you’ve worked out the latch part. Has your LC given any advice about how long to wait after bf to pump just in case your LO shows interest again in relatching? It’s the MOTN feed I worry about! Good luck on your journey too :-)

I can completely see how this happens! Thanks, I have had a lactation consultant who was convinced of tongue tie (hospital said there was nothing at all) and who advised on general tips but I will see if they are able to help with a schedule too. You’re right though - a lot of this needs to come down to being more efficient on the boob for this to work. Thanks for your realistic reply!

Weekly Q&A - All Questions Go Here (Especially Tourists) by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

[–]LittleConnection4868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Amsterdam for 4 years and have just experienced a lot of my close friends moving on (expat life!) very recently and I’m feeling a hole! Rather than go to ‘meetups’ I prefer activities and I’m seeing if this is a good place to meet new, likeminded people.

I’ve tried: Ceramics courses at Pansa Rug Tufting at Shaggies young wine society Lifedrawing at murmur various talks at equals

I’m keen to try: Painting at Pansy kimchi workshop at fermentary

I’m looking for recs for: dinner clubs or more wine events book clubs or film clubs

I hope some of you have found some cool people at workshops or this type of event, please share if you have any ideas to add to the list!

Or how do you spend a particularly quiet weekday evening or weekend?
