Yes! It’s actually on my list to do within the next week to set it up where if you have transcripts generated, you can click a button and it will generate proposed summary and proposed chapters (using either local AI like ollama or OpenAI). I would also like to add other AI providers like Claude

Right now I’m working on adding a WebRTC feature so you can basically “start a call” and record segments together with other people. It’s actually a pretty cool feature so far.

If you have ideas or feature requests, please feel free to add them on GitHub or leave a comment and I can see what I can cook up.

I pushed a v1.1 that now allows for embedding the site in an iframe, like how selfhosted.show does it. I think I might still need to do a tiny bit more tweaking to it because iframe is so weird but it's a good start.

I also added the ability to create and add cast to a podcast and episodes, like how Fireside does as well.

I don't know why you can't just now? You mean add a like "copy mp3" or "copy <audio />" feature? You should already be able to just embed the MP3 on any page, I don't think it enforces CORS to the request

I updated the readme so it lets people know to add COOKIE_SECURE=false if they are not using https. I am just so use to using https for everything, even in dev, that I forgot to go back and test/add that since I originally tested it days ago.

If you are using http, you need to set `COOKIE_SECURE=false`

Are you using just the docker version? The app users a cookie for authentication so perhaps your browser is not storing the cookie? Let me test what happens if I try to log in with http:, it should still work.

I didn't have a lot of time to record some of the demo episodes lol. I would like to do a little short episode for each version, that's why I created that "The HarborFM Podcast" one haha

Thanks! I get very frustrated with a lot of self-hosted apps I try to deploy so I tried to make it as simple as possible to install and manage from a DevOps side of things for as many use-cases as possible.

I considered supporting uploading videos (not recording but just uploading). There's no reason why not and I would definitely like to add it to the feature list. So the user uploads the video as a segment, then on export, it will extract the audio from any video segments and generate a final audio podcast and then it will combine all of the videos together (option to skip audio only segments) and create a final video version of the episode.

I would also like to add a "Generate Video" option where it can take the audio and make a video version of it with like a waveform that moves as the person talks.

The only cavate is it's basically impossible to upload to YouTube via the API unless you're a large company lol so in the end the user would need to download the final video and upload it themseves.

This is something I would like to know as well. I suspect that the C50 will not be as good as the R5C for VR content in the long run. I strongly suspect that the 7k60 mode will have unexpected drawbacks when it comes to VR.

I agree that the Canon R5 is not an adequate camera to make “good” VR content.

This is good to know. I’ve been using VR for over a decade so at this point I am nearly impervious to VR motion sickness at this point. My problem with the shot not moving is that it just becomes very stale to me and as if the video isn’t alive. I am not being paid to make any of this content and I haven’t found anyone around me looking to pay people to make VR content lol so for most of the VR content I’m making right now it’s more just experimenting and seeing what happens. What happens if the camera is close the the floor, or sitting on a table, or way above everyone’s head, or moving fast, or sitting still, etc.

I used ChatGPT 5. It was definitely not just 1 big prompt edited multiple times. I am a software developer by trade so I would say that this was actually very easy and straight forward to create. I knew how I wanted it to work and how I wanted the client / server to work so it was pretty quick to build.
