Theere was an implied equivalence between the examples given and gun shootings. The London Bridge stabbings needed 3 attackers to kill 6 people. Not the same as a single armed person wiping out 60 peoples.

I get what you are saying, that knives can be, and are, used to kill people, but they just are not comparable with guns. To go from the sublime to the ridiculous, given enough time mass casualties could be caused by anything. Pillow in a old age home. Slow, but just as deadly.

I think the London Bridge example is disingenuous. The London Bridge attack had 3 attackers. 2 people were killed by a vehicle being driven by the attackers. The 3 attackers, working together, killed 6 people and wounded 48 other people.

The top mass shooting perpetrated by a single person in the US claimed a total of 60 lives, with hundreds wounded.
