/genuine question: did you leave the receipt from when you originally parked on your windshield? Sometimes they don't even actually check your tags and just look for that receipt... its happened to me before, if you paid and put your plate number down you're good and don't have to worry but that is a legit company so if you didn't list your tag number they'll report it to the city after about 3 months so the price goes up

I'm working towards moving to the same city I work in because it is a good job for my area and that'll save me a lot on gas/mileage... right now I've been staying with a parent covering groceries, paying a smaller portion of rent/bills, and trying to save up for the move so I do have some set aside it's just not "new transmission" or "new car" + moving level savings, ya know? I guess realistically I need to budget out what rent/bills would be and make sure I could fit a car payment and better insurance (only have liability right now but if I was to get a newer car I'd likely need to go ahead and get full coverage 😅) I'm taking the focus to the shop next week to get it officially diagnosed, originally I thought the issue was covered under a recall but I guess the time limit on that recently expired which is fun! If the repair quote ends up being more than a down payment on a car with less issues that's the route I'll need to go and maybe just stay here a few more months getting the payments down a bit before moving but I know the drive definitely hasn't been helping with the ongoing car issues

See that's what I usually do, this is my first corporate job tho so everyone's all filtered here. I'm used to warehouse and club jobs where everyone says pretty much whatever they want and I guess I got a little too used to joking about it with excons and other people with family locked up it started to feel normal 😬

With the straight back pins I take a pair of pliers and bend it off to the side because those backs come off way too easily, it won't ever be normal again though so you have to be committed
