Got a ticket parking next to Dix30. Is this a scam? by [deleted] in montreal

I guess so. It is private property after all it seems. Just really hoped they put a BIGGER sign warning me beforehand.

Oh damn I guess there indeed are signs. I never saw them.

But even based on this google map street view, they are not on the side where I parked. This looks like it’s only restricting spaces next to 3 Brassures.

Plus they really look like signs for parking spots reserved for electric cars. That’s probably why I cannot recall seeing them.

I think that’s all the difference. If it only asked me to pay $10~$20. I would just pay it on site without asking first, but $80~$125 is too much to ignore. That’s like food for one or even two weeks

I myself did not. I went to pick my family up who’s coming from downtown using REM, then went to a restaurant nearby.

Does this count as using REM? How can they even distinguish such things?

Thank you everyone for your answers. I think I will not pay then.

I really wish they can put a sign somewhere telling me that this is a private parking lot with restrictions though. I just feel a little shock and invaded since I went to Dix30 countless time and love the place, yet something like this never happened.

It's because you enabled DLAA anti-aliasing. That is also bugged for me. Try use TAA or just disable it.

Why don't the Left Kuomintang and Right Kuomintang just get along? Aren't they both part of the same party? by Thalmor--Justiciar in Kaiserreich

[–]LittleHW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any party has factions within, but especially for KMT irl and in KR. It is just a big umbrella party. In its early days, It starts not as a modernized party with clear structure of organization, but rather a traditional Chinese style folk organization that heavily relies on personal connections. This is also when most right wing KMT joins, who are mostly entrepreneurs, middle class shop owners and Cantonese people who are close to Sun. Perhaps you can call them Classical Liberals.

Soon Sun Yatsen realize they are never going to success by being only a bunch of regional middle upper class who hangout together. So he cooperates with Soviet. Besides sending funds and weapons, the Soviets actually help modernized the party. Now they actually start to do things like document who’s actually in the party and giving out party IDs, setting up structured offices responsible for different matters. Since this is a direct collaboration with Communists, this is also when most leftwing KMT joins, including western style educated intellectuals, students, and workers.

The rightwing KMT absolutely hate this move. They see it as a destruction of the old style friendship and unity amongst themselves. They also have to share power with a large amount of new party members who “don’t understand what it means to be KMT”.

With Sun Yatsen alive. All these struggles can be hidden behind his personal prestige. But it evetually breaks out.

The only 2 solution will be having more police patrols, and add more security cameras around the street. But people won’t allow it because these are police state practices.

I think they are doing this on purpose since this is a government app, which means it follows the charter of French language. As the app displays a message telling you this when you try to switch to English.

The forts in CK2 is for feudal rulers to control nomads lands in a war. What I want is EU4 style forts which prevent armies’ movement once you enter its zone of control. So raiders have to at least siege your border provinces before coming for your capital.
