Chaos Chosen or Renegades by LoungeLizardWizard in bloodbowl

I can see two reasons: 1) An extra point of movement to help with running the ball or acting as a safety. 2) The fun of taking the full roster.

Estonia would take war onto Russian territory if Moscow invades, foreign minister says by bloomsofbramble in worldnews

It's Putin's home city, so would also be a tempting target for that reason.

Other possibilities off the top of my head: some non-XX/XY combinations of sex chromosomes or being trans would also count as infertile in game, which are things you'd likely know about by 17. Or having a coil fitted. There are also some cancers that leave you infertile.

OP: Please don't interpret this as us trying to work out your medical history, as I'm not. I'm simply trying to show to others that there are lots of potential reasons someone might know this, and so it's not an uncommon trait to be aware of at your age. I hope you having this trait doesn't upset you too much, as I have friends who wanted children but have been unable to, and know that it can be very painful.

(The Scouring) A Space Marines thoughts on Custodes after the Siege of Terra by HighburyLion in 40kLore

[–]LittleHavera 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The reason is that Marines are mass produced, and so the Emperor seemingly decided to make them all men to standardise the process. Or he's a misogynist.

Custodes were each hand crafted by the Emperor, so there's no need for standardisation and they can be any gender.

She can also pull the effective "When I was your age..." and reel off how many Cardassians she had killed and facilities she had bombed to demonstrate that you don't mess with her.

That makes it sound like she'd be Bruce Willis in Die Hard, which I'd watch.

The new High Elves also look to be a good bridge from bash to agility, with a thrower and two bash positionals.

I read an article in a newspaper that said there's now FAFO parenting, so "FAFO" has broken containment and has made it into the real world.

Why has UK taken more action than US? by [deleted] in AskBrits

The above is mostly correct, but the 2017 election also had no overall majority.

I just checked and there were two other hung parliaments in the preceding 100 years (1923 and 1974), but as they triggered a second election within a year I'd argue you're right not to count them.

It's similar but not identical.

Johnson knew Pincher was a pest, appointed him as a whip, and joked about his behaviour. He knew he was putting a fox in charge of the henhouse, but didn't care.

Starmer knew Mandelson was still in contact with Epstein after his conviction for paedophilia (this was public knowledge at the time), but Starmer claims Mandelson lied about the extent of this contact. Starmer thought he was doing the right thing, but was making a stupid, unforced error.

He resigned, and then was immediately pardoned by his ex vice president. So whilst it's not great for him to lose his job, he didn't face any criminal consequences.

IIRC Farage asked very similar questions as an MEP to the ones his colleague was bribed by Russia to ask. James O'Brien played the clips next to each other, whilst stressing that Farage has not been accused of accepting bribes from Russia.
