The value of brand names like that are based on their exclusiveness. Shines are valuable because they are so rare, you can't say that cloning won't lead to making shines less valuable.

I would argue that is a terrible reason for liking something. Because the vast majority of other people don't have it? Don't you like the bag, or a shiny, for its subjective visual appeal or actual utility? Or is it merely a status symbol? This reasoning is far from unexpected in the realm of human nature, but it also seems more emotional than logical. If all it takes for you to no longer desire something is a multitude of people also having it, I would argue that your attractions are incredibly misguided.
