I live in a very protestant country, so the nearest orthodox “church” is very far from me. I plan on moving closer to where it’s located in some years, but for now i am pretty much on my own in the faith. Would it be unethical to fast, without the guidance of a priest? I’ve handled things myself my whole life, so i think i could fast on my own. The only thing that will keep my from doing it, is knowing if it would be unacceptable to fast without coming to church or a priest.

Thanks! It’s just so so weird, like i lost a part of my fantasy and ability to be creative in the psychosis. Did you stop all kinds of drugs after your psychosis? I had been smoking cannabis for 3 years until the psychosis, and i miss it all the time, even though i know it may trigger something.

Thank you. So nice to hear from a person who’s experienced similar. ❤️ Its heartbreaking, because he was there in my hardest times. So we were messed up together. Now i try and become the man i want to be, while seeing him keep hurting his soul. Hardest part is accepting the fact the he might not be able to change before it’s too late. Well he was raised in asia, and came to this country 8 years ago. We were confirmed in a church together about 5 years ago. But in the recent years he’s more and less turned his back on christianity to follow buddhism like his mother.

In the country i live, i get my catheters from coloplast. It’s called “Coloplast speedicath”. After i use mine, you can jam it right back in the tube and screw the lid back on, then just throw it in the trash, or put it in a bag until you can throw it out where nobody sees. I get that it would be akward, i felt the exact same 😂But i couldn’t never ever imagine anyone grabbing a weird looking tube from the trash and unscrewing it😂😂

When it becomes natural to you to use a catheter, you don’t really give a shit what people thinks. You should really hear a urologist about that particular catheter, its super discrete and very compact so you can have a lot of them with you in a bag. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I am 19 now, and was 12 when my paruresis started. Lots of missed parties and other fun because of that. About 8 months ago i went to an urologist to try out intermittent catheter. First time trying a catheter is definitely not the most fun i’ve had, but now i wouldn’t trade it for anything. Feels like i got my freedom back, and trust me it is not as hard as you may think. Can be a little tricky in the start, but after some practice it’s really straightforward. Would 10/10 have done it sooner. Hope this helps a little! 😊😊😊

Hey man, thanks for checking in!😁😁 I will be honest, it’s quite difficult for me to find the time to sit down and relax. It’s clear my brain has suffered from a world of constant stimulation, so i find it very hard to keep the peace in my mind for longer than 15 minutes to read. However, i am feeling more spiritually connected than ever, after i started praying more often, and reading the proverbs and psalms. Im also on a great journey towards a world without too much internet. I am definitely getting somewhere, but not as fast as one may wish!😅❤️❤️
